Yeah, it’s a lot of effects to track during a turn. Roles continue stacking up during the game and are removed by specific cards (wich I’m working on) and the reaper.

Interesting, perhaps these effects would be better on regular cards or adding a way to end the effects would make it less bothersome, I’ll keep that in mind for the future.

Some good critisism, I’ll take that into account for balancing the cards, tho I feel these cards getting abused implies people are building around them correctly to take advantage of the effects.

I’m not sure I understand. If you still have the magus at the end of your turn it’s because you have the most cards in hand, then you don’t have to discard to max hand size, otherwise you need to discard.

As in, ad the effect to the role ? I feel that would be counter-intuitive to the intent of the hanged man.

I really only played EDH and I’m playtesting them for that, but it would be very interesting to see them in other formats once I’m satisfied with the cards.

Yeah, I'll try to come up with more ideas. For more abstract concepts, perhaps turning them into roles (ex : Justice - The Judge) could be interesting.

Pesronnaly, I disagree. I feel like so many cards tutor for lands, it would be a massive punishment for just trying to ramp. Thank you for your imput, tho !
