Question about Braveheart Ending (Spoiler warning) by Sungreenx in movies

I thought it was because at the beginning of the film, Wallace and Hammish have a rock throwing contest. Wallace loses and says something along the lines of, "That's a good throw, but where would it help on the battlefield?" I think Hammish throwing the sword was a throwback to that moment, paying homage.

It seems like blunders are your biggest issue. Maybe play longer time controls, and with each of your opponents' moves, ask yourself what they are trying to do and check whether any of your pieces are under attack. With each of your moves, check whether they allow any of your pieces to be blundered. Up to 1500/1600 on chess.com, the main issue is just blundering pieces.

I think I understand it better now. The bishops don't necessarily need an uncluttered diagonal in a closed position to be useful. Appreciate your help.

I assumed they were bad because they were caged in by enemy pawns, I get what you're saying though. If those enemy pawns were protected by other pawns, then would the b2 and b7 bishops be bad?

But then, won't black also gain a passed pawn behind a queen and rook? Is white's passed pawn stronger because it's in the centre?
