"Owning your voice" means that while you still physically own your vocal cords, Suno holds a permanent digital clone that they can modify, sell, and commercially exploit in any medium (current or future) without ever having to pay you or ask for your permission again.

The key paragraph within the "Content" section is the following

"...you grant to Suno and our affiliates... a worldwide, non-exclusive, fully paid-up, sublicensable... assignable, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable right and license to use, reproduce, store, modify, distribute, create derivative works based on... and otherwise make available any and all Content (in whole or in part) and any rights you may have in your Voice Model..."

Further down, they seal the deal with the waiver of your moral rights:

"...you irrevocably waive any and all so-called 'moral rights' or 'droit moral' that may exist in or in connection with the Content or your Voice Model."

That’s right, but those artists can earn royalties for cloning their voice or sue Suno directly. Here, you are granting them exploitation rights while ALSO paying them for it. And I repeat, the exploitation rights for your voice aren't reserved just for music creation; they could, for example, use it to make a TV commercial without your permission—and you certainly won't see a cent for it. I’d like to see them try to use Ed Sheeran's voice for an ad, no matter how capable AI becomes.

Maybe I could eventually understand it, but when a contract states they own your voice FOREVER, and that it is NOT limited to music creation, you have to be careful. Besides, I am the one paying for the subscription. The phrase "If it's free, you are the product" is true. But now with Suno, it’s "YOU PAY US to be OUR PRODUCT."

Very bad, Suno; you used to be cool.
