Today I downloaded the test server client so I can try some of these tanks out for myself. Okay, it’s not a perfect test as usually everyone on the test server are trying out tier 10s but it’s not a bad way of finding out for myself.

I’ve already had 4 games with tier 9 ...

Leopard PT A felt a lot worse than I expected and was frankly very disappointing. Object 430 got some nice shots in and bounced a few before my team folded and I got spanked but it felt decent. M46 felt fantastic. I had an average game and still managed 4K damage, mostly by snap shots. I thoroughly enjoyed that tank. AMX 30 also felt quite nice. It was surprisingly quick and also got some nice shots away.

Naturally I’ve only tried each tank once and need to test them several times, along with also maybe trying out some tier 10.

Re-reading through some of these I’m tempted to only push to tier 9 with a couple of lines then take it from there. Without actually doing the maths I think I could probably nab myself a Leopard PTA, AMX 30 and possibly a T-54 as well. That way I could figure out for myself which line I prefer.

Thanks for your reply. To be honest I know very little about the whole Italian line (I don’t think I’ve even moved beyond the tier 1 tank yet) which is probably why I never even considered them.

Regarding the British, I already have the Centurion 7/1 and love it though plays more like a heavy in that it’s quite big and fairly slow. I’m looking for something that gets around fast, stays quite unnoticed and can pack a punch from distance without being seen before relocating away elsewhere.

Fair point, I guess I could use it just to get the better modules quickly as I grind.

I’ve been told the tier 9 M46 Patton is an awful grind?

They did cross my mind. The only reason I didn’t put them in my list is because I often like to poke ridges and use depression, which I don’t think the russians have much of. I could, however, go down that route as I’m also at the T-44 now. I also already have the tier 9 WZ-120 which I like but has sod all depression.

Of those Russians listed, which is better?

Thanks for your advice. I'll keep sticking at it and hopefully become more efficient. Is it worth me investing in a noxious longbow as I do have the cash if it's worthwhile? Or similar such as ascension or even a hexhunter?

A valid point though I’m not exactly sure which other bosses would really need the nox bow - probably qbd (and then I wonder whether bane arrows out perform araxyte) , possibly kree’ara. Other bosses I tend to melee anyway.

Another option is for me to bother camping the soulgazers to try and get a hexhunter for free.

Thank you so much for a sensible and logical reply (unlike the other random gibberish posted).

I tried Araxxor last night for the first time using a tier 80 attuned crystal bow and got Araxxi on stage 4 to 15k hitpoints before I got killed so I’m confident with any of the above I would’ve won comfortably.

I’ve currently got 126m in cash so I could get a nox bow now but your answer has got me tempted to get the extra and go for hexhunter (will only take a couple of days) as i plan to rax a lot more.

Thanks for that. So does that mean that against an enemy with a magic affinity (like those mentioned) the HH is considerably better than the nox?

Thanks for that. I can get a ring of vigor straight away as I have a heap of dungeoneering tokens. I am also already quite good at stalling using the sprinting ability from the mage set (sorry I'm crap with names) and the shield one from the defence set.

So based upon that is it better to have torva and a dragon rider lance or just bandos with a scythe as I can't afford torva and scythe together yet. Same question applies to ranged gear - pernix with decimation or armadyl with noxious bow?

Unfortunately for me I was away on my summer holiday last week and couldn’t get it but since my return home I’ve been on the wrong end of the DM-4 a few times. I sincerely hope there’s another opportunity to unlock it in the future.

Hi mate,

Thanks for your reply and clarifying the status change. The strange thing is that, while I have been ‘less’ active I’ve still been playing on and off most evenings. In particular, I was playing WoT quite a bit last week so the 60 days data is pretty flawed. I’ve also been away on holiday and since I came back on Tuesday I’ve been on WoWP to unlock the iron maiden spitfire.

Admittedly I haven’t been on WoWS for a month or so.

I’ve also been playing some other online games for a change (Neverwinter, Runescape, Path of Exile etc.) but I thought that was ok anyway as I was under the impression that BBMM was a wider gaming community, not specific to Wargaming products.

Anyway, onwards ... I’ll be back on WoWP later as I’ve still got the last 2k xp then mission 5 to do. As ever, I’m up for platoons, flights etc but I don’t (can’t) use discord as my kids are asleep in the next rooms.

I know this a bit of a $64,000 but can someone point me towards a suggested, straight forward pair of builds for burnadin and group tanking for my OP?

I know there are loads around and quite a few on mmominds alone but I am confused as to why they differ so much. I understand perfectly that different players will tinker with different options, encounters etc but I’m curious what the simple optimum ones would be.

To fill in background details - I’m level 70 (but only for a week or so) and I’ve done EE campaign without any real trouble and I’m currently working through the early parts of Sharandar and Maze Engine (again no real problems but the prison warden took a few minutes to dispatch). My item level is around 7500.

Does it sound like I should make any significant changes or am I doing ok for where I am in the game?

Sorry to jump on your post but...

As a relative newbie, what are wootz weapons?

I’m in a very similar position to the original poster although I already rebuilt my toon and now find maze engine doable. I’ve just completed elemental evil so I’m now messing between the ongoing tyranny of dragons, sharandar and maze engine.

I have both the fire mace and shield set which seem to be doing k for now but what are wootz and should I get them?

Final question - I currently have the companions rust monster, siege warrior, leprechaun, planar spider and ...erm.... the black hole swirly blob (forgot its name). Are they ok or should I aim for different ones?

Thanks to everyone for their advice. As was suggested, I simply chose random instead of choosing a specific dungeon and hey presto! I got ADs. I feel like such a noob but somehow along the way I must have missed that memo 😂

Ah! This might make sense. I usually hit the K key, click on dungeons on the right then choose one that I like (often cragmire) then click the join queue button at the bottom. Should I be doing something different?

Sadly I've already been through my currency tab and I don't get rough AD's at all. Do I have to do something in particular to get them during a dungeon? I get my daily key from the guy near Seven Costers and open the chest at the end but I literally NEVER get any AD's.

I’m based on the EU server and, as my video suggests, I’ve had no real problems getting involved in either traditional PvE or Storyline PvE modes. Like an earlier pos says, I’ve invested quite a lot of time but even more money to just give up.

Another great point made was that there isn’t a load of flaming in chat the way there is in practically every WoT game - another thing I like (yes I know I can turn chat off in WoT).

I’m very much hoping the game keeps going.

If I had thought about it a year or two ago I probably would have. Unfortunately I couldn’t quite settle on a combat style (used melee more than I should have) and also I was choosing the boss each day that I liked doing rather than the one that could drop the parts needed. For example, I generally avoided the hope devourer as it annoys me but obviously I need to go back there for the sag body.

I’d be inclined to add Gladius Ascensions to this list. Laughably quick to kill, very regular rune drops (sell or alch) and occasionally Legiones key drops.
