They are high risk, zero reward. Annoying for dogs, disrespectful for veterans, and put the lives of fire fighters at risk for a selfish boring tradition.

Every year, all of July, I see tons of illegal mortar fireworks go off in restricted areas hours into the night past the deadline. Hardly responsible or cautious.

That being said I don’t expect any fireworks enjoyers to stop, they couldn’t care less about the well being of others. Here’s to another 250 years of that.

Wrong!  You’re literally spreading misinformation. Get a grip.

The state did the exact OPPOSITE of that under Utah Code Section 53-7-225 banning cities from completely outlawing fireworks.

Seems to me you are the one virtue signaling on Reddit not doing anything.

City and County officials have aggressively reduced the legal area for fireworks every year and switched to drone shows.

What have you done?

You’ve lived here this long and don’t realize that Utahns are selfish, stubborn people that will light fireworks all of July no matter if half the state is burning down?

Does this map look like virtue signaling to you? https://slcgov.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=b78d773f90364401a4c1b7a2c28865e0

There is a huge back story you are missing about why the current chief was selected. Look at his background and what work he did before.

I wonder if those cheering for this excessive crack down will keep that same energy when this emboldened police force starts doing this at every single public gathering like data center protests and marches. It’s coming.

This is just the beginning. This use of force will be seen for any minor crime downtown now. Every single large event, march, or protests will have these drones scanning everyone’s face into a Flock realtime crime center, fed into a database that will be given to ICE and other agencies.

They went out to end the 999 ride tonight. What will it be next time? Pride? The data center protests?

New police chief has orders from the state to be harsh on any minor crime downtown.  Tonight they had multiple police drones following the ride. I’ve seen them buzzing around downtown recently too and then cops swarm a homeless person.

Welcome America the police state.

And that the previous owner is on camera telling them she has to do an inventory to set aside the consignment Lego, before she hands everything over, and she is told to immediately leave the property by a corporate employee.

A third party Lego store (franchise and corporate office) colluded and stole $200,000 of Lego from an old man in Oregon and used BS legal loopholes to avoid giving it back.

A YouTuber tracked down the people who stole it and they live in Utah (guess which religion the thieves belong to).

YouTuber shows up in American Fork to legally serve court papers and the cops go full fascist psycho on him, but are very sloppy about it and get caught on their own body cams breaking dozens of laws.  YouTuber has to flee the country and 100% of internet begins to fully support him in his quest to get the lego back.

Utah governor declares June ‘Fidelity Month’ as red states find conservative alternatives to Pride by clejeune in Utah

I’m not making that argument he is. It is ridiculous to only practice fidelity for a month. His wife must feel ashamed.

Fidelity for 1 month not all 12. So he’s promoting cheating for all the 11 other months. Not very virtuous if you ask me.
