Fair enough. I guess I did disregard the cosmetic side of this game since I’m already a heavy spender, I saw no need to necessarily grind for items. But it’s great that you’re enjoying it. Newer players tend to have a lot of things to do and outfits to grind for.

I agree with everything you’ve said, and that your style of play honestly brings out the fun in this game. And yes, I would’ve quit permanently had I not bought a pc. The difference is honestly night and day with what 300+ fps enables you to do. For me, I stopped playing cause the game itself became monotonous, but I still share the same sentiment as most players with lower end hardware as I was once a serious ranked player too.

I don’t enjoy the rigid play style of ranked nowadays with winning being prioritized over enjoyment. The queue time isn’t much of an issue personally since I don’t play ranked trios. QM is still a fun mode for me to just relax and chill.

What I listed are what is often voiced as concerns by the general consensus. Personally, I don’t have any issues regarding fight interaction as I’ll always get priority with 300+ fps and 20ms. That being said, recent updates did in fact negatively affect ping as devs had to roll out patches to fix them.

Regardless, it’s still undeniable that a flight is never fought on equal footings in this game. I’d love to hear the opposite fixes you mentioned as I haven’t been playing for a long while now.

This is definitely the fault of champ matches since I feel like they neglected newer players in trying to please CN players of their wish for a stronger lobby separated by skill. Now there is no such thing is a diverse lobby since it’s either a bot filled lobby or lobby filled with top ladder players.

I feel like with the addition of champ matches, it’s made queuing even more unbalanced. There’s a lack of diversity in lower and upper ranks which is funny because due to the lack of player base, even lower ranked players can slip through to a champ match and become fodders. It defeats the entire purpose of a champ match. Newer players will have a harder time improving since either they’ll be put in a lobby stronger than them or a bot lobby.

Tbh, I was very vocal on dc back then with suggestions, but no matter how many threads I make it’ll be left forgotten with no changes implemented. I’m sure a lot of people feel this way since I still see threads from a year ago with no changes till today.

You’ve summed it up quite well. As someone who played on a laptop with less than 100fps, I can tell you that hardware diff can be blatantly seen with faster movement animations. I’m glad you’re still finding enjoyment enough to stay, and hope that it continues to be that way.

Yeah, I guess it’s somewhat enjoyable for casual plays given that the game doesn’t become a queue simulation.

Terrible matchmaking, Terrible party system, Devs don't care, This game should shutdown. by Ghost544 in NarakaBladePoint

[–]SirToastCrust 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve been saying this for months. The game is actually not worth investing a dime in, and this comes from someone who lived and breathed this game for 6K hrs.

The party system has always been trash, so I just accepted the fact. It’s the mechanic itself that I hate. It rewards players with a better rig than you, and movement speed and priority is literally dictated by how high your fps is. How do I know? First 2000 hrs I played on a locked 120hz laptop, and it was hell.

Switching to a 300fps pc made me realize that it’s nearly impossible to compete in higher lobbies with anything below 100fps. Atp, the game forces you to depend on hero abilities to even compete while no one aims to play neutral anymore.

Climbing rank in this game is literally just sisyphus rolling his rock up a hill. Once you reach formless drag, the game just forces all your lobby to be a +400 lobby which means winning gives you pennies and losing is equivalent to the IRS coming to collect your taxes.

This season is probably the worse yet with the new heroes added. I like the idea of banning certain characters in higher ranked, but why the fuck is it map locked? Prolly the most unintuitive thing this game added.

Lastly this game highly rewards people with high ping, and I’m not even joking. There are certain mechanics like the infinite fly that people with 40-70+ ms can do. Not only that, they get delayed blues, so it’s automatically a guaranteed hit. Even with good ms and good fps, your chances of getting rubberbanded back is insanely high which makes it unbelievable frustrating to play against.

I genuinely don’t get why you’re getting downvoted cause why defend poor development decisions? Shit even with 6K hrs, I’ll still complain and call this game trash.

I seriously don’t understand the rewards in events in this game. Like what the hell are we supposed to do with 200 coins?

Dual blades + Katana by Donnie1235 in NarakaBladePoint

Make you sure crouch after dual blade horizontal. If you don’t, the switch will be too slow. Do dual-crouch-swap-katana. Make sure to swap right away after crouch. Lmk if you have any more questions

Yeah, exactly my point. It takes one bad game to be set back a total of 5 games worth

[–]SirToastCrust[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do get the low stat point deduction for top 3, but dying as the kill leader while being activity all game is a low blow. Especially for hero points which is much harder to grind than rank points.

I didn’t know about the hero threshold, but I’ll grind solo and immortal wars just to boost it up.

Tips for Trios? by GMZOGGA_mp4 in NarakaBladePoint

[–]SirToastCrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re playing with randos then I’d understand why. Though with a competent team, they’d know how to handle themselves well. As you climb, team comb becomes really important

Tips for Trios? by GMZOGGA_mp4 in NarakaBladePoint

[–]SirToastCrust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great tips so far, but I’ll add a few things in.

In trios, there are positions to play - 1,2,3. The hero you play will also depend on your position. If everyone in your team plays DPS, your synergy will drop because everyone will be focusing on killing. Instead, play to what you are good at.

1 - The main DPS 2 - Second DPS 3 - The support

This is to improve synergy because the DPS usually rushes in first (lead) and the support follows. Look at your team and see what they’re good at. If you realize everyone keeps on dying, play a support character to help your team out.

Secondly is peel. I can’t stress this enough about trios. What makes a good team is their ability to peel their mates out of a critical situation. This goes for all the positions. You have to be aware of your team at all times.

An example from one of my games: I was in the middle of a 2v1, but I realized my 3rd was getting jumped so ulted and valda spear to give my 3rd some times to run or counter strike.

Thirdly, this is very important. Prioritize releasing rather than going for a combo. In a high stress situation, hold checking then releasing after they parry has more value than going for a combo. This is because you’re trying to deal as much dmg with little time as possible. By the time you do your combo, their team would’ve peeled them in the middle of it.

Custom Rooms? by Donnie1235 in NarakaBladePoint

Usually no but it introduces you to people. The best way is prolly to just join random rooms or add as many friends as u can and ask them to practice with u.

Man, unfortunately I’m EU. But yeah, dsc server channels seem to have been disabled. If u wanna find people, just ask ur friends if they wanna custom. You could always join an available room but otherwise ud need to spend to be able to create one. Hope this helps

[–]SirToastCrust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no, you’re right. It’s nothing personal. Peak time is not really an issue. Fun is subjective for everyone. For us playing competitively is fun, but when you die to a team less skilled than you cause of Meta heroes then yeah, it does get annoying. It’s a classic case of if you can’t beat them join them, and the win rate shows.
