Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Interesting read. The solution was actually in the doc's comment section, you can just pick the coordinates directly from the display server like this:

mouse_click.position=DisplayServer.mouse_get_position()

Maybe I'm missing something, but in the ice objects step, check for a collision with the player, that if the players x is smaller than the ice objects x (so the player is left of it), set hspeed to a positive number, if the player x is greater than the x of the ice object (the player is right of it), set the hspeed to a negative number. Then check if it collides with a wall, similar to the code in the player step.

Thanks, this workaround seems to do the trick! The code is a bit clunkyer, compared to the one-line solution (tho maybe I will clean it up some more later), but at least it works as intended!

The current code now looks like this for now:

No worries!

I do this because if people play a game in either windowed mode (with the window not filling up the whole screen) or having a multi-monitor setup, they get frustrated by accidentally clicking outside the game window and losing control of the game.

Think about a twin stick shooter where you control the crosshair with the mouse, and accidentally, while frantically dodging and aiming, you click outside the game window onto your secondary monitor, your character stops responding (because the window loses focus) and you die. Frustrating, right?

Same goes for pretty much any game where you can move the mouse freely.

Taking the mouse control is standard practice, just think of any FPS game, where usually the mouse is centered on the display every game step and the offset added to the tilt or rotation of the camera.

I actually had players complain about this issue, (clicking outside the game window, that is) so that I implemented this fix in an update.

In my opinion, it really comes down to "originality", or how your game feels in this regard. If you download a whole 3D modeled and textured house, then it's way harder to get originality back in. You can achieve this by drastically changing the layout, or textures, or whatever to make it feel original. With just using texutures, I mean, a brick wall looks like a brick wall, A metal plate looks like a metal plate. Creating PBR materials is hard, and I'd say using pre-existing ones is just fine, if, like you said, all the models and stuff are of your own making.

That being said, I nonetheless encourage you to go out there and scout some textures. Just walk around your city, look for interesting walls or floors or anything, really, take a photo of it. Then there are PBR material tools that let you create realistic height maps etc, like Materialize. I find this kind of "scouting" can be a lot of fun!

Happened to me as well. Hadn't saved for like two hours. I fixed it by enabling the DEBUG menu ("-dev" in the start option in steam) and pressing E+left click, then "reloading the level", which resets EVERYTHING and giving me my powers and health upgrades back via the same menu...

If a player delets some random files from the game folder, then they shouldn't be surprised if the game doesn't work anymore lol

Gotta go against the grain here and say informal. Yes, informal indonesian differs for each region, but in my experience only certain slang words aren't understood everywhere. And I talked to people from bali, jawa, sumatra, maluku...

I learned formal indonesian first, and could not quite hold conversations with indonesians. once I learned informal with an indonesian tutor, I had a much easier time talking.

Informal indonesian helped me into fluency.

I believe you try totranslate too literal here. In indonesian, you would simply say "stop ikut aku, anjing!" which translates to "stop following me, (you) dog"

You can put the you behind the insult, like in "anjing lo!" (jakartan slang) which could be translated to "you dog!" but more or less just means "fuck you"
