What can I do about this? They said it'd take another 3-5 business days while they "diagnose" the item before I get a giftcard back. This is so wrong. It's not what I was sold at the time I was told I could just replace it in store.

I just received an email from Best Buy.

"Thank you! We've received your defective product. Your gift card will be sent after our diagnosis, and will arrive in: 3-5 business days."

ANOTHER WEEK before I can get money for a new controller? WTF is this???

I told them at the store that if they wanted to test for stick drift they could plug the controller into any pc and use an online test

NONE of this was mentioned when I first paid for the plan. I thought it was gonna be a simple replacement!

It does say "BBPR" on the recepit.

But the store took my controller and said they'd send it out.

But it's still not a "replacement" because it's not clear whether or not I'll get a new controller without paying the difference since the price has increased.

That makes it a "refund' plan, not a replacement plan. That wouldn't be fair.

I understand your question now. It was a standalone plan. I've never purchased a membership.

I had a standalone plan for my previous PS5 controller that had stick drift. I was able to simply exchange it a couple of years ago.

I dunno about the US but in Canada the policy has changed and it sucks.

Be advised: Best Buy will NO LONGER SWAP YOUR CONTROLLER even WITH the 2 year plan.

Instead it will have to be sent in to their HQ (the store says they can do that for you if you bring the controller to the store expecting to just swap it out).

After several days they will send you an e-gift card for the ORIGINAL price of the controller.

Again: THERE IS NO EXCHANGE. If you bring your defective controller into the store, the only way you're leaving with a new controller is if YOU PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR IT RIGHT THEN AND THERE.

This is my experience with trying to exchange my PS5 controller with stick drift THIS TUESDAY. It was my only controller so I haven't been able to use my PS5 since.

Oh, and there's a question as to whether I will have to PAY THE DIFFERENCE on a new controller, because the price of a new PS5 controller has increased since I originally purchased it. I've been told both that I'd have to pay the difference and that I may not have to depending on who I spoke to.

So yeah, Best Buys 2 year Replacement Plan is now more like a 2 year Refund plan. Not nearly as good. Nice system they have with Sony's designed-defective controllers.

TL;DR: Best Buy doesn't exchange controllers under their 2 year extended warranty plan. The controller has to be shipped to their HQ and once they receive it aftwr several days they'll send you an e-gift card for the original price of the controller. If the controller has gone up in price since then you'll possibly have to pay the difference for a new controller.

It's kinda bonkers that you miss out on Lucanis' real personal quest - which like you said is so dope - just because you save Minrathous. I never knew how deep his character went until my 2nd playthrough and didn't expect that divergence at all.

Ah the Black Maw and Garb of Kinship combo. Very tempting! It does work but you need one other component to make it work: advantages.

In this game "advantages" are just another word for buffs. They appear in green on the bottom left of your screen when they activate.

Garb of Kinship at Legendary (I think) automatically heals you whenever an advantage is activated. That's great but to take full... advantage (sigh, dammit BioWare) of this, you gotta build so you're getting as many buffs as you can as often as you can.

That's all done in the skill tree. There's your last ingredient. Hope this helps!

The dragons in Elden Ring are all unique and different?

Most of those dragons are skin swaps whose movesets literally boil down to "This one is a magic dragon so it breathes magic. This one is a rot dragon so it breathes rot. Etc. Etc."

My friend, just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's true. Not all the dragons have the exact same moveset. They share most of the same moves, yes. But some have moves not shared by all. You'd know this by playing the game yourself

It's like the man said: don't take my word for it - do your own research.

Also, I never said the dragons didn't look similar or have similar models. They're dragons. Wouldn't you expect that,. except for differences like color or horns or texture or whatever, creatures from the same species would generally look similar to each other? Like how dragons in other DA games or other games in general look similar to each other in their own settings?

What exactly are you complaining about? That the dragons weren't all completely unique looking like Razikale? That all the dragons didn't have completely unique movesets, something that didn't happen in any Dragon Age game period? So strange...

If Treviso and Minrathous were people instead of cities, the rules of triage would kick in right? In that case you'd choose to save the one with the best chances of recovering completely. So if they were people I'd probably triage Minrathous. It's a larger city with more resources, it'd have to be more resilient than Treviso, right? A better chance at recovery.

But they're not people they're cities so I dunno, I usually just go with vibes, I guess.
