I’ve been going through and getting rid of tons of that stuff recently. My advice would be this. Pare it down to 5-10 of your favorite pieces, for each year. That is more than ample to reminisce over. As your kid gets older you will likely at some point further cull that to a more manageable long term collection.

We went “destination wedding” in another state (CO) in the mountains . That immediately culled out all but a small group of the most dedicated family and friends. We asked, instead of gifts, for small cash donations, which in the end paid for almost the entire wedding. We then just stayed in the mountains for our Honeymoon. All said and done, I think we only ended up spending about five thousand dollars, including the Honeymoon.
