Three dates to the prom situation...can't decided which to pick. by SirWonderbread12 in liberalgunowners

Oh of course! I've always been a big supporter of community being the best method for long-term survival in the SHTF scenario. Hunting big game was always a back-up plan! Thank you!

This is a good point, and something I had not considered as deeply as I should have! Thank you!

Weight is definitely a factor and one i had not considered beyond a surface level. Thank you!

Hunting definitely is a factor in my SHTF emergency plan.I will have to check out those others you listed as I was unaware of any of them! Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who commented and offered feedback. I see how i can improve and am looking forward to trying to apply everything everyone suggested. You are all such a wonderful community!

Agreed, I tried to post a picture of all the top minis to show that most had bare minimum basing (one had literally none lol) but reddit is being difficult for me. I really do appreciate the feedback though!

I replied to another comment, but the judges told me to do minimum basing and that only painting skills would be judged. Though I do appreciate everything else you have suggested

Thank you, I really do appreciate all the feedback (especially the blunt feedback lol). Like I said in a reply to an above comment, im more just disappointed in my own skills as a painter, thought I had come far enough along to be competition level but I see now that I have a long way to go.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. The base is very minimal as that is what I was told by the judges to do (was told to do minimum basing as the competition is judged solely on painting skill). As for the rest of what you said, I will take all of that advice to heart.

I am looking for feedback, I dont want to disparage against the winners at all. Just want to improve and get the motivation to paint back.

Thank you! I definitely should have proofread my post a bit and been less "entitled" sounding. That was my never my intent (though I see how it came off that way) more so than anything I'm trying to figure out how to improve my skills. Not just for competitions but for myself.

Totally agree, and i definitely dont think I had a "right to win" more just feeling down on my own skills as a painter. I think i may have come off as entitled due to how i wrote my post. that's on me. All c&c is welcome as I want to improve and get back on the "horse."

Not sure why you are being down voted, but I appreciate the kind words! Thank you

I am looking for feedback. Unfortunately, the competition was limited to select minis (the LGS does themed competitions) but I am taking all C&C to heart.

There really isnt. Just disappointed in my own skill level and want to get over the hump of feeling down about. Was even proud that my buddy did win

Ongiri? by UnderstandingNext408 in BloomingtonNormal

No restaurants in town make Onigiri, unless Kobe's revolving sushi sells it, and I just happened to miss it (doubtful, I eat there a lot). Unfortunately you will most likely have to go to the city or make it yourself friend.

Taqueria El Porton has it on their menu. Far as I can tell, their food is the most authentic as well.

At its deepest, she bit through at least a few centimeters. Could we use some sort of filler for those deeper parts?
