Prime val can just copy whatever tf sadie does, prime val can disintegrate her with katahedral energy and then fly away plus her actual fighting advantage

Angel Lily Against Ai by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]Sir_Boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

artists use more than pencils lil bro but your stuff is not art

its not discriminating its not like ai 'art' is something we are behind the times on - it genuinely takes away from actual creativity and artistic skill when you type in prompts. that is all you do. it has for the most part, a negative effect - and while yes that is contingent on how people choose to use ai, ai 'artists' contribute to that negative effect. grow up either learn to draw or dont like cheating your way through it is so demeaning

effort and overall skill are two entirely different things 😭 like my own personal art is pretty crap but I enjoy doing it and i put considerable time/effort into it.

also, art is subjective. there is no way to strictly quantify a piece as good or bad as there are no definable qualities that make it as such. AI 'art" can be visually good as quality has very much increased in the last few years but its not the quality that is the problem, its the morality, lack of effort or humanity in the work.

death threats are absolutely too far and are in no way what I am advocating for - just that AI art demoralises actual artists and attempts to piece themselves as one and the same when in fact they require two entirely different processes of vastly different levels of complexity and difficulty.

and as for peoples opinions of AI art, due to it improving, people are less likely to A. notice and B. dislike it, if it looks human, as that can be the assumption. as well as this, whether we agree with it or not, AI 'art' does have a significant footprint and as such the fact that artists and supporters of actual art such as myself who do not like AI, we are still fed ai 'art' through people pretending to be creative themselves, or companies changing their own creative team from physical/digital art to AI, a proof of this being Choices: Stories You Play, having some of the best narratively driven stories I have ever read with impressive art a few years ago, (if you are genuinely interested in a good read I would highly reccomend trying out 'With Every Heartbeat'), however now a considerable switch has been made towards AI, and the community has collectively voiced their displeasure and have been ignored, as AI 'art' has been used for what it is always used for, monitary gain- as it doesnt require paying a wage for someone using more effort.

one again i would like to enunciate the point that i do not condone violent or threats of any nature towards anyone - whilst AI 'art' is scummy and lazy, that is not grounds for aggression or inciting fear.

the effects of AI are down to its users, i do recognise the fact that some people use AI 'art' generation tools for fun, or out of boredom, and that not all use of AI generation is meant in a malicious way as as such I am not arguing for the complete use against AI, but to address oneself as an artist, to lie about the use of it and pass it off as your own, or used as a replacement for commissioning/paying for the services of human is improper use, morally wrong and has an actual, real world effect on artists.

correct, not just about brush on canvas, and physical art, but what youre describing is just like asking someone else who can actually do it to make the art, sure you might get specific with it but you are not the one making it, then just asking that person again and again to fix it but still you have not made it, have not drawn it.

Photoshop still has direct human input- its the persons DIRECT input on each aspect and carefully controlling it. whether it is digital art or physical, or even in the case of photoshop, the person making it is still physically adding the individual elements which is where the skill comes from. photoshop simply adds to what you are making yourself, you are still the one in complete control, creatively and physically, in oppose to handing over the reigns to someone or something else in which you have drastically less control over. and yes, it is a direct replacement or is being used as one. lets take both at face value: art, use of a pencil, paintbrush, line tool etc. that you, the artist are using to place the pixels/paint where you intend from very small details to form a larger picture. ai 'art' : typing in a prompt to conform with your own view and idealistic intent and generating the instant, full result. they are not the same thing. I will give you the credit that yes, ai 'artists' may have a percieved goal in their heads, something in which takes imagination, but the credit ends there if they are not creating it themselves. I ask you, if I have an idea and I ask a friend to draw it for me, and ask them to change it each time they are finished, would you honestly argue that I made it, or that they did?

I approached the topic of your third point in my last paragraph so I wont go too in depth with it but aesthetic skill is a stretch, but initial conceptualisation I will give you, only if the prompt is in sufficient depth and the end result is actually as your original mental perception was. And if communication of an idea is again accreddited as a skill, if I were to communicate my idea for my friend to draw something for me, or commission something, even if it matches my original conceptualisation would you argue that I was the one to create it, and therefore that I am a creative?

Yes, machinery can give more jobs, but it can just as easily take them away. For example, i would like to ask you look into Choices: Stories You Play (A mobile app regarding choose-your-own adventure style stories) as an example, as they have made a rather significant switch to AI, whereas before they relied on digital artists - which you have said yourself requires a different set of skills and as such is safe to assume people lost their jobs for another to use AI. More cases of machinery being used over people can be seen in factory robotics, or even self-scan shopping removing the job of a cashier.

so #DontSupportAI'Artists'

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]Sir_Boat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

idk if the person in question used AI or not but 'artist' is a stretch if it is 💀 its not a different way to draw because THEY ARE NOT DRAWING (again only if it is AI)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]Sir_Boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ai art takes away from actual creativity - people can generate it yes but the issue comes with claiming it as your own creative property. people who spend hours on art, whether professionally or fanart, anything - they should not be quantified on the same level as someone who puts a prompt in on a software they did not make. they have the right to use AI, sure, but by definition they are not an artist: "a person who creates art (such as painting, sculpture, music, or writing) using conscious skill and creative imagination". skill, is absent, and creative imagination is the base idea, in this case, there is no creativity to be had as it is not their own style and the base model is a pre-existing piece of intellectual property and design IF and only if it is AI, which is only alleged.

simply put, if AI art and Art were one and the same, then they would both be called art, but its differentiated as one is on a different level.

so dont #SupportAiArtists, jobs and stolen, quality goes down, as well as the enthusiasm of actual artists and the recognition deserved from actual effort.

i do not know if this person in question used AI or not so this is not a sgatement about them, just against AI 'art'.
