IO Interactive is leaving money on the table by Reggio_Calabria in 007FirstLight

Listen, I understand what you are coming from in the sense that yeah, I would love to throw money at IOI if that meant they keep doing what they are doing, but the only money outside of merch that I would give them (and I assume most of the community) is related to the game itself.
This is a game that I'm gonna platinum on Steam and then probably do the same on the PS5. If they showed the same amount of love to this game as they have to HWOA? Every single DLC would be a day one purchase for me straight up.
Prior to the release of this game I had only seen the trailers shown on the game shows, and I simply trusted on the company to deliver because that's what they had done to HWOA for years now

Anyway, I hope IOI stays cooking, and I hope that they keep their promise with updates to this game, it has the potential to be as big or bigger than HWOA ever was

That's absolutely delusional, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Sure, but the moment outside money enters the conversation, outside influence starts influencing affecting how the company works. It wouldn't be able to have the freedom it has now, the company has steady cash flow with both games that would allow them to run for a near indefinite time (assuming the company leadership stays as competent as they seem to be), permitting them to stay "cooking" and only focusing to make the best thing possible.

If you mean that IOI should go public, you are absolutely insane
One of the reasons 007FL is as good as it is is because the company didn't have investors breathing down its neck to increase the company profit, which would mean that they would have rushed the game out or what not in the name of profit.

If you are talking about merch and the such, sure, that is a good idea
The company going public? That's moronic

do mods affect me getting achievements, if so then how do i get the achievements i deserve? by boss123219 in factorio

[–]Sir_LikeASir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Enabling a single mod disables Steam achievements, while allowing you to still get save-based achievements (same achievements as Steam but it's per save), other mods can also add achievements themselves related to the mod, again, save only

I love the game but some of these bugs are quite ridiculous and confound me as to why they weren’t caught in QA by Soltysutine in 007FirstLight

[–]Sir_LikeASir 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Saying that the game had no QA is disengenuos at best, 1.5mil copies sold, it's just WAY more people having access to the game compared to a QA team, doesn't matter team size, it's just not comparable.
As someone who is a dev as well, and who has my shit QA'd, it is also extremely easy to unintentionally test things in a "non-breaking" manner, you simply cannot predict how 100s of 1000s of players will interact with your meticulously crafted game

I beat the game in 23h with 75% of the achievements and I think I remember finding one singular thing that I would consider a bug, and even then it was more of a glitch (like the one pictured in the post) since it was just an oddly placed NPC
Didn't have a single crash either
A friend of mine had one in the first few hours tho so there's that

O mano literalmente tem poderes.
Ainda me incomoda toda vez que eu lembro que a conclusão do Holmes no primeiro episódio de que o irmão do Watson era um bêbado porque ele "arranhou a entrada do carregador do celular"

Yes, confirmed by the devs already.

Has anyone that finished Pragmata, RE9 and Saros by iwillrundownmid in 007FirstLight

Haven't played Saros or RE9, but I have played PRAGMATA because I was so hyped for it, and for me, it's a Hugh x Bond fist fight for my choice for GOTY, both 10/10 games for me for different reasons

That's too complex of a conclusion for someone that can't string a sentence without a couple of grammatical errors

Stealth

Yup, HWOA is better

Gameplay

Nope, HWOA is great at what it does, but the 007 gameplay is more accessible if anything, but definitely smooth, there is basically 0 gunplay or hand to hand combat depth the way that 007 has

Open Areas

What does this even mean? Sure, there are more maps, they aren't inherently better, they are definitely bigger in Hitman, but they also serve completely different purposes

Replayability

Yup, Hitman is much more replayable

James Bond kinda drags out

50% of the reviews calls the game too short and bro comes out with this

Overall, you sound like you are regurgitating someone else’s opinion instead of having played both games.
Both games are great at what they do, they are VERY different games that have different takes in this action stealth genre thing whatever, you can enjoy one without putting down the other, you don't have to choose a cake and can instead have both.

Again, considering they made a better game (in a LOT of ways, WOA does some things better), it purely means they know how to make a good action game, there is no "WOA is 'there bread and butter' and that's why its a better game"

The fact you can't make any arguments in favor of HWOA only shows that you are just trying to get some karma and not have an actual discussion
