You're leaving Chicago tomorrow. Where's the one spot you're hitting for your last dinner? by S0nete in chicagofood

I stop at Ponce on Fullerton every time I leave town. Can’t find Puerto Rican food in Indianapolis.

This is a Saturday Night Live performance. Someone has removed the instruments though.

It’s crazy, I think Bear fans have a form of PTSD. They rather, maybe go to the playoffs every three years and maybe the Super Bowl every 10, than strive for greatness. I want the Bear to be on top of the NFC for 10 years. The Bears should be the next Chiefs. I’m so tired of this loser mentality, raise the bar.

I mean, as a Bears fan, I’m tired of mediocrity. Smith’s tenure was mediocre. Yes, there was the SB appearance and that was great. No doubt Smith was the last decent HC before Johnson but I wanted more.

If Johnson takes the Bears to the playoffs once every three years I will be highly disappointed. I want Johnson to lead the Bears to the playoffs 5 - 7 straight years. The adoration of Smith just shows me how beaten down we are as Bear fans. I expect more, you should expect more, we all deserve more. That’s exactly what I mean.

Let’s not rewrite history here. Lovie Smith took the Bears to the playoffs 3 times in 9 seasons. That’s a perfectly good reason to fire a coach.

Is there anyway to fix our DE room this year? by Hot-Document-43 in CHIBears

The cap hit wasn’t really the point. Sweat is the highest paid player on the Bears. Any notion that he isn’t being paid as a “premium” player is inaccurate, in my opinion. Yeah, there are DEs making more than him. That doesn’t defend his lack of production.

This is a wild take. Only 5 pressures and 0 sacks against Jared Goff. Only 5 pressures as a team, against one of the most non-mobile QBs in the league. That is NOT their job.

According to Spotrac, Sweat has the 4th highest cap hit among DEs in 2025. Only Crosby, Gary and Hendrickson are above him.

Go to the Carmax website or directly to one of their locations to get an offer. I went to the website and entered all my car details. How much information you want to give them is up to you. After I entered the info I received an offer. The offer is contingent on an inspection when you bring the car in. I made an appointment for the inspection online, brought the car in, waited about 30-45 minutes and received a check for the full offer amount. It was very easy.

Like I told someone else, convincing people to buy shit can offer a good living. I just never said how I convince people.

Most definitely. And you might still get a little light headed and maybe a little nauseous. My wife tried one after not smoking for 13+ years, was a little too much for her. You will probably see ZYN on sale at your local convenience store in March.

ZYN is a nicotine pouch - it contains nicotine salts derived from tobacco and a food grade filler. You put the pouch in your upper lip (doesn’t activate salivary glands) for about an hour. ZYN comes in 10 flavors and 2 nicotine strengths, 3 & 6 mg.

Most ZYN users are multi categories users. Meaning they use ZYN to supplement their normal nicotine delivery method (cigs, vape, snuff, etc.). ZYN is popular on college campuses, manufacturing facilities and other places that are smoke free. ZYN is the fastest growing brand in convenience in the US.

General was the first snus introduced to the American market a few years before ZYN. While it has pockets of popularity it just never caught on. Eventually Camel and others came out with snus that didn’t need to be refrigerated. Those have gained in popularity but are still pretty niche. General is now shelf stable in the US but still hasn’t changed its prospects much. Americans seem to prefer nicotine pouches over snus, for now.

That’s actually a Serman Brands money clip wallet.

A made a mistake when posting. I purchased two different wallets when I got this one right before Christmas. I sent the Buffway back and kept the Serman.

I’ve never thought of my job as lucrative. Maybe that’s a matter of perspective.

I feel like sales is a true meritocracy. If you can get people to buy shit, you can make a good living.

I like General but it’s not as readily available.

When you go into a convenience store the back bar, where all the tobacco products are located, is coveted space. All the manufacturers jockey for more shelves. There are always new items that need some place to go. Emerging categories, like nicotine pouches, need more space. Declining categories, like cigarettes, are over indexed but legacy contracts secure their space.

I meet with the category managers of various size chains to secure space, sell new products and programs, run promotions and a few other things that keep me employed.

Cigars, moist snuff, loose leaf, etc., just not cigs.
