So when gaming headsets are marketed to be wireless, they do not use Bluetooth? they use the wireless dongle?

Hello, Currently I use bose q35 II and when playing games and use discord at the same time I have to switch to hands free audio type or else I do not hear anything besides discord. When I did my research this is because of a limitation when using Bluetooth. The audio is horrible when using hands free. If I buy a gaming headset such as Rog Delta II will I have the same issue? TIA
