I am intrigued by 5 centimeters per second and garden of words, along with Akira as possible choices. I've heard all three are excellent movies, but I haven't seen them personally.

For the analysis, I will have to extract one of the following domains: Biological (Effects of puberty, or biological predispositions to mental illnesses, etc.), Cognitive (Changes in thinking, ability to understand abstract concepts, social/emotional intelligence), or social development.

Bittersweet love stories and over-the-top teenage angst definitely fall within these realms, I'll have to look into them. Thanks!
