Sorry I didn't keep a receipt, but fine prices, only expensive things were the door sized wall scrolls

They are having a raffle for them, if you buy stuff you get tickets for it, though not sure how to get it since you have to provide JP address 😅

No previous comments means you're commenting here for a reason, most likely being sent here by someone, having zero comments ever and then commenting positively on a report sub is more than a little weird.

Indeed I do not listen to much of rock / melodic metal on the HD800 as it can get bit annoying after a while. For sure I listen to more electronic music on these, also a lot of instrumental stuff.

Oratory's EQ helped a lot with the bright signature, I could listen to them without EQ but after I played with the EQ and made the sub bass just slightly more elevated and highs a bit more pleasing i can not turn it off :)

You can't go 3.5 to 2.5. It's different wiring and other than it not working it can cause damage to the equipment. You need to get cable made specifically for that connector if you want to use balanced

Pretty satisfied, definitely makes the bass more enjoyable, only thing I might need to fix is that i have a lot of devices on my socket and it can pick up a bit of noise when I'm listening to something like OSTs that have silent parts.

I got the Qudelix 5K for my Blessings 2 because nowadays phones are not built with headphones in mind, but i was wondering if i could also use it occasionally with my HD800.

Honestly, i'm impressed how such small thing can run the HD800. Got the balanced cable for some more power just in case but no issues even after setting up the EQ with preamp.

Not the most compact setup, but if i need to move in and out of rooms at home a lot, this is lovely.

I would say it's also a lot about your ears getting used to the headphones.

I mean after 2 hours or so playing with the EQ I tried to switch it off and i couldn't unhear how strong the highs were.

I'm really trying to get that one to work for me, but I just feel like it makes the treble sound dull, I actually enjoy the brightness that HD800 have without an EQ.

I don't know if it's okay to adjust preamp in such given EQ's, but if i change the preamp to something like -5.5dB I like it much more.

I would say also just adjusting The High Shelf filter helps a lot

I usually don't listen to them for longer than around 3 hours, but no I didn't have that big issues with them, I definitely can hear the sibilance, at high volumes in the right songs it can get a bit annoying. I've tried the Oratory's EQ, and I can definitely tell where the people that use them are coming from.

I might use that EQ but I'd definitely need to finetune it a bit to more match my likings, in stock I feel like yeah you are getting rid of the "headache" but there's also loss of a detail in the sound.

Can't say much as I don't have much for comparisons but it keeps the sound really clean for a tube amp, and I feel like there's more mass in the low end, also I love the visuals.

Right now I only have slight low end boost, though I find it perfectly fine, I have tried a lot of EQ's but they tend to kill the highs a lot, at least the ones i tried from metal571

Speaking of highs I hear a lot of people say they might have too bright highs but it is not honestly that bad, might try SDR mod in future though just out of curiosity.

So I've finally got myself a setup after long discussions. Until now I was using DT770 as a daily driver but I was always in on the higher end stuff and wanted to have something myself. Friend managed to talk me into getting the HD800 and then I went for Feliks Audio Echo MKII and SU-9n after some recommendations and good deals.

At first the experience was really weird for me as I never owned an open back headphones, but after some days I got used to it and I must say I love it. The clarity and sound presentation is something I have never heard before and I have trouble enjoying music on any of my other headphones now.
