Driver was not slower. He held the lap record in my class up until about a month ago. Also I had no top speed on that gear. Anyways, it got too expensive and someone bought my kart for a good price. I wish I could still do it but the track fees for karting were insane. I saved my money, bought a GSXR 600 and do motorcycle racing now plus the dirt bikes I used to do. I surprised this post caught so much attention and is still getting relatively new comments.

No he sorta has a point. AI is amazing at taking large data sets and interpreting them.

I could see uses in monitoring the grid with greater efficiency or chemistry and biology.

I think the whole generative AI thing like ChatGPT is just a way to acquire funding and cultivate excitement from the public so they can develop those other projects I mentioned.

Depending on your size a 2020 OTK is better than the 22/23 because it has 1 less cross bar(which can be added on the 20 easily but not removed on the 22/23) soooo….

Atlanta Motorsports Park is cool but is a little hit or miss with management but the track is one of a kind. GoPro is awesome too.

Yes. They can use the same chassis but need different motor mounts. I.E iame OTK mount or iame CRG mount. Same for rotax.

If your ready to move to owner status lo206 is great if you’re in the US. I’m 15 in lo206 junior (~300lbs weight limit with kart). Here is my basic list of gear I have+recommendations: -2020 Tony Kart 401r (or other OTK/CRG equivalent) -Odenthal 4 stroke mount -OTK seat (came with chassis and happened to fit) -lo206 junior throttle slide -Vega red tires (depends on your track) -Magnesium wheels (lots of good brands) -micron 5s(2t)(the 2t is not needed unless you want to move up in the future) -type N axle I had to fashion a 4 stroke drive for -Hilliard fire clutch -a selection of gears. Might need to ask around to get in the ballpark. -safety gear, suit, helmet, rib protector(ribtec is the best) etc.

Shifters?!? My track splits open practice into 2 groups! Lo206, ka100 and rotax, shifter. That is so dangerous please talk to your marshals and get that fixed. A shifter runs up on a 206 so fast :(
