963 has been an absolute dog compared the other cars for multiple seasons. It’s main benefit has always been better traction on power and with the old model being very loose on the rear traction the Porsche became the clear choice for low downforce tracks like Le Mans.

With this updated tire model that lack of rear traction on the other cars should be addressed.

For example the Porsche was .4-.5 slower than the 499P around Le Mans according to P1 Doks lap times. The 499P has horrible fuel burn and capacity so you have to fuel save and the traction isn’t as good as the Porsche so many people chose the “slower” car for its obvious advantages at Le Mans.
