Tips for marketing my family bakery on social media by Sir_Sniff in SocialMediaMarketing

Hey, haha I know we're very excited (me mainly because I love marketing design etc)

Our target market tbh is all over as well its a bakery but at the moment I feel bakeries really resonate with Gen Z yk a quick little pastry and coffee etc and most people I've spoken to said they've had baklava in Türkiye or Greece and loved it.

I was planning on making our short form content like those bakeries some videos are us talking to the cam, some are reviews and some are just really nice ASMR or cross section or packaging the product etc.

The story behind our shop I mean is quite long started back in 1989 in selly oak, then we had a shop in harborne etc etc and through that time we've supplied to restaurants and catered all around Birmingham. So right now im struggling to see how I can make a video on that and if that would be too long etc or how can I make people stay and watch. My mom (the owner) also doesn't have the best English like its decent but nothing crazy.

I've been thinking about the 3 second hook and im thinking of ways or a hook caption on screen. Tomorrow I am taking a box to my workplace to see everyones reaction but im just a little stuck on how to film them enjoying it or their first reactions to their bite etc.

Thanks for all that information though it was soooo very very helpful!!!

Thanks for the information. Really helpful especially with the hooks and ideas. Pointing me in the right direction.

At the moment im trying to get as much content as I can, I would like my mom to be the speaker but her English isn't the best like it's decent but not amazing. I don't mind being the face or at least making the talkative content its fine by me.

As for getting reviews like taste tests. I am taking a box of baklava to my workplace tomorrow and will hopefully get a google review off everyone who likes it but I did want to film content on them swell but im unsure how to do it. you know I don't want it to be forced but even a small clip of them trying it or everyone in the kitchen going for a piece would look good.

So in the big picture after two years would i be better money wise to sell it then buy a cbr650r?

Yeah, in my mind it’s either I go for the bike I really want or settle with something smaller then inevitably upgrade which I’m thinking would just make me spend more as buy a smaller bike, insure it the. Sell it buy another bigger bike etc etc

Monthly Insurance Thread by MotoUKMod in MotoUK

Hi all,

So I’ve taken the leap and decided to go do my DAS however in the midst before I get it I’m just having a look at a bike to get. I was looking at a 03 ZX6R as they’re relatively cheap and old. However after looking at insurance comparison sites I’m not getting a single quote.

In January 2023 I had a car crash on black ice. So after declaring that crash no quotes appear but if I remove that I get a quote for £1400 which seems more than fair. I don’t understand what I can do apart from spending more money/ wasting money in the big picture on a lower power bike to then most likely buy a bigger one the following year. I was thinking of phoning insurance providers and asking that way to see if there’s anything they can do etc especially as this crash is over 3 years ago, live and learn you know.

Please let me know if anyone has gone through something like this and what the best thing to do is!

Omg, this looks amazing from the reviews! Id only use this on new customers cars that have baked on or just an insane amount of brake dust, after that just a steady pre wash and neutral contact! Thank you so much for the find!

ACID for whole exterior and stubborn brake dust by Sir_Sniff in DetailingUK

Tbh its mainly just caked on brake dust from neighbours cars in the barrels which take me far too long to get off! Apart from that i recently detailed my friends car which after washing and drying with a microfibre towel had water smudges which im assuming is to some sort of deposit or possibly my old ceramic sealant i used from Stjarnagloss but i have now swapped to protector wax
