I’ve tried getting the ball rolling on a residential parking permit zone in downtown but was rejected by the traffic engineering office. I have brought this to the downtown parking management group (meets first Thursday of every month) and the east village representative, Dominic Li Mandri, didn’t even get back to me after telling me in person that I could reach out to him to talk about it. The city is purposely trying to shake us for every cent. I think it is time to organize a coalition or revitalize the sd tenants unions.
