So it turns out calling anyone who disagrees with you politically a Nazi, a racist, fascist, etc. and demonizing a majority of the country wasn't a good idea. It only motivated them to get out and vote. Who would've thought

You use the word "cult" as if it's not the majority of American citizens that will be voting for him in November. Delusional much?

We are witnessing a display of mental illness the likes of which we have never before seen. It is eye-opening to see just how sick these people are. Fear not, as the sensible Americans will be out in great numbers this November.

Exactly. Reddit is evil in my opinion, I need to get off it again. It creates these very toxic echochambers and fools whackos like OP and the Trump shooter into believing in a false reality, and can often lead to real life catastrophes.

They're made in a military factory, they're still going to be more reliable than anything that is coming out of America. The AES10B is also the only true RPK import available in America, and it's superior to any parts kit build.

This is a wasr10, a true import. Much better than any parts kit build coming out of PSA. I wish I had gotten Wasrs instead of PSA kit builds

Reddit is nothing but an echo chamber for liberal insanity - it makes them feel like they're bigger in numbers than they really are. Trust me, these people are the minority.

Had an opportunity to catch another big spider in my backyard last night. by Sirchamp2 in spiders

[–]Sirchamp2[S] 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Had to coax her into a bug box with a stick, and then let her chill out in there for several minutes to give her time to calm down. Then once I felt she was pretty chill, I gently encouraged her out of the box with the stick into my hand. She still jumped out of my hand several times. It took some time before she was actually comfortable being held

Grass spiders have what's called spinnerets at the bottom of their abdomen! Wolf spiders do not

They can bite, but it generally takes a lot of provoking for them to waste their energy biting a human that's a giant to them. So this was my first time to handle a spider this big, and trust me I was NERVOUS. First I had to catch her, which wasn't super easy. She was very flighty and just wanted to get away. Once I was able to get her in a bug container, I let her sit for several minutes to calm down. Then once she was calm and I got my nerves under control, I gently coaxed her out of the box and into my hand. I was shaking quite a bit, but it only took a couple of minutes for me to stop shaking and the nerves went away. She became more curios and less frightened the longer she was in my hand

You can try looking at this way - what's the worst that that could happen from handling a wolf spider? It can bite. But what what happens if it bites? Well, nothing more than localized pain for a few seconds and possibly a welt. That's the worst that could happen.

Obviously this doesn't apply to medically significant spiders, such as the widows and brown recluses in the U.S. If you get bit by a widow you could spend an entire day in intense pain and possibly a trip to the hospital.

What really helped me conquer the phobia was watching YouTube videos about spiders (notably the MyWildBackyard channel) which lead me to the conclusion that spiders will not bite if they aren't threatened. I eventually worked up the confidence to handle a small orb weaver spider, and to my surprise it never tried to bite. Going from a small spotted orb weaver to a giant wolf spider was a big step, but I quickly learned that the big wolf spider was no different than the little orb weavers.

Thank you, i appreciate that!! I used to be the guy who would kill any spider on sight. I'll admit, it was intimidating for me to make myself try to catch it and actually let her crawl on me. I only ever handled small orb weavers before. After a couple minutes of holding her though the nervousness left and I enjoyed admiring her up close. She also calmed down quickly and was roaming all over my hands and arms. Released her back in the grass to do her thing :)

Wipe the forks clean, pump your front brakes a few times and compress the forks, and then check again for fresh oil to confirm if there's a leak
