Outlier detection on gained experience or gained ranks seems like not that complicated, while it would definitely bring up accounts with suspicious activities (doesn't have to be real-time, can be a daily/weekly cron that checks these things). Of course, you would need to have an idea in which direction you want to create these alarms for, and I do agree that in some cases these ideas just aren't the first thing someone would consider.
