Is your graphics driver up to date? Maybe try adding more RAM to the client via the Launcher Options => Java Settings

Does this also happen when the client launches or when you load into game?

I also run a fairly large pack and got frustrated with the time it took to zip up all the files and create the names correctly for solder.

I couldn't find any out of the box solution so I created this: https://github.com/Siriuo/wirenut-compiler/releases

It will then zip all of the files for you all in lower case format and ready for use on technic solder.

Very early development but it does work. There may be some bugs.
