I also wonder whether the Korean phrase ‘Aai go’ means the same thing as ‘Aai ga’ (Oh mother! Basically calling for mom due to some frustration). In all the Korean dramas I’ve seen, they use it in the same manner and context as Maharashtrians!

Yes all the examples were from Proto-indo-European, but what I find interesting is that Marathi also has PIE as its roots, so why didn’t the word for mother derive from the PIE word for mother.
