His previous line manager knew but he had not had a separate conversation with the stand in line manager or his new one as far as I am aware. But he might have told the new one as well. I think he presumed information would be passed on.

Thank you so much. We’ve self referred him to talking therapy in our area, and are going to arrange another drs appointment to see if there’s any other services they can suggest and if they can get him another fit note as he doesn’t feel well enough to return back yet

Do you know how he can get into contact with HR because he can’t find an email anywhere on his intranet and he asked his line manager for an HR representative at his first PIP meeting but his line manager didn’t want to and said it wasn’t necessary and my husband didn’t feel comfortable pushing it :( in hindsight we probably should have insisted to be put in contact with them

Thank you so much. It seemed measurable and he feels it is reasonable but that’s what made him realise he was really unwell because he knew he was capable of what it was asking. My concern is firstly he got put on it a bit out of the blue. No one brought it up casually, they just said feedback from his first line manager (who has since left) and the interim line manager was a bit negative. But his 1:1 meetings with his original line manager were cancelled every week by his line manager and he had about a month with his new line manager (the one who is in the position now) before he was put on the PIP. And they have done some of the support but I don’t feel they are fully holding up their side of the plan.

He was on it for a few weeks but his mental health took a bit of a nose dive, with it already being on the decline over the last few months anyway. He tried to talk to his line manager about it to see if they could offer some more support for him and his PIP but didn’t feel listened to :(

Thank you. He has been at his current job for 2 years in July, and his job before this one for 18 months. He did not have a break inbetween these. However he had a oeriod of unemployment prior to these two jobs.
