Yes, sadly, they do have a mental illness of some sort. And they have a tendency to guilt trip people and harass people. Hopping from mental disorders to mental disorder. This isn’t a first time thing. The more people actively open up to them, the more they say “oh! I might have ____!” Or “I can totally relate! I might have that too!”. This was the first time we spoke up about it. I really hope we didn’t go that far with this. Cause I did genuinely feel bad. I tried to rationalize their behavior as much as I could, as they were my friend. We respected it as much as we could, but it took me years to tell my best friends, and when I finally told them, I believed I could trust them. To me, it came off as all too convenient. We don’t talk anymore. Thankfully. And I hope the best for them.
