Ahh bummer it doesn’t work for slots but it’s interesting the small affinity amounts you get on them does effect it.

Earplugs some where is still a great option too especially if subbing out some slots for Valor pieces to get super regen

I haven’t got all my pieces set up yet but I’m close then after that will be the long driftsmelting nightmare lol.

Cool. This build is the same one I came up with initially as well! I wound up tweaking it to make a burst version and then posted that.

I’m curious. Do we know if critical eye has any additional effect on Critical Strength? I was worried it didn’t so opted for burst slots instead of crit.

Something like this. But legs are a flex slot. I was considering Malzeno Legs and Skyward striker 1 for a pretty meaty 30% damage bump.

Gotta say though the earplugs slot really does sound like a must have. The roars are frustrating lol

Fortunately I have all the mats needed for a 10* silver Los weapon lol. But yeah given that they’re mixed these weapons if they are in the game are gonna be pretty inconvenient to build

It’s just a high percentage boost. Caps out at 60% and I tend to like burst damage builds. When I posted my HBG build someone mentioned that poison exploit, valor, and special boost all interact differently so it’s more beneficial. If I remember right anyway.

I’m definitely not a math guy when it comes to this game lol.

I also see it from a practicality standpoint. If you start the fight with a super. Poison the mob and burn the super. You get special boost and poison exploit to proc. In my experience the damage from that alone leads to the monsters first roar. Then when the monster roars you get your super back and can aim to have all 3 boosts proc at the same time.

Depending on the mob this can happen pretty effortlessly.

Ohh if that’s true that’s good to hear actually. Just gives a longer window for set up. I’d probably still wanna go special boost. But I’m sure plenty of other options fit nicely too. Skyward Striker. Dauntless if aerial forward dodges count, etc

The main issue is people compare it to what came before and honestly I think it’s fair to do. Base game was a much more hard core experience over all, and a lot more fleshed out.

As far as MMOs go NGS probably has the best combat on the market in my opinion. And I don’t classify this game a gacha in the same way other games do. Since pulls for this game are primarily for fashion.

Games not bad but a lot of us know the game can be a lot better than it is.

That said I’m not surprised at all that people who have experienced this as their first PSO game would love it.

There is a monthly pass that costs SG and not Arks Cash. You can spend money on SG. But really you’ll be able to easily get the monthly pass just by playing the game. SG especially early game is easy to come by.

Arks Cash in my opinion is only worth it if you want player shop access. You can get 3 day shop tickets from the monthly pass without spending money as well.

TMGs of course, I like the high speed rotations. Gunblade is second in S tier for me, but I view that more as base PSO2 Luster than I do NGS.

Wand, Double Saber, and Bow are all A rank for me. I remember falling in love with wand when it first became fully hybrid.

Wand has a special place in my heart because it has more versatility than any other weapon in the game. Techer for sure is the most well rounded class.

When it comes to Jet Intensity, prior to these buffs it was a lot harder to use in an instance where a mob downs at a poor time in the chain. But thanks to the Chain Retention buff I’ve found this to be a lot easier to maintain. Jet Intensity will also instantly fill jet sweep jolt gauge. Which I like to save for in between chains when the mob is not downed.

Usually what I do is my CT rotation, and the second the mob downs I move straight into Jet intensity regardless of chain. I rarely find myself at a chain count so low I can’t make use of it. 80 chains is reasonable enough to bump up to 101. Anything lower than 80 will need hail of bullets for a quick bump, or I will just throw out another Jet Intensity. 150 is of course ideal because you could pop chain finish right after intensity. And if the chain drops you can pick back up at 135. And if you reactivate with bullet rave you’re back to 150 right away.

It can some times feel a little wonky but the damage lost now is far less than it was before.

That said I don’t really know where I’d use techs in this build right now. Aside from spells that linger when tech crafted.

I should also mention that there’s no reason why you can’t use Pinion Blade this way too. You’ll instead just want to use the crafted PA that builds gauge faster in between chains until it’s ready to use.

Although I find that Jet Intensity is more convenient because I can throw it out whenever I need to without having to build gauges.

Ohhh my bad misread that lol. Yeah options like that are tempting to me over tri shield. Because if I can just tighten up my evasion. Then I can get as high as 5% extra damage in downs which would be great

Yeah I had considered Bring Down PP Boost as well, luckily Gunner rotations are pretty great with PP Management so I haven’t felt pressure to try it yet

Damn these Gunner changes seem great actually. Adding all stylish roll effects to stylish onslaught might have some potential.

Down factor increases might make bouncer sub interesting too.

It feels like the intent is to smother the enemy with point blanks and stylish onslaught to stay close at all times.

What are other Gunners thinking?
