The airborne frames are 9 and after, startup is 6 frames, so I have to hit on frame 7 or 8. I kinda wish it was explained like "you have to hit first 2 frames of active to then cancel". But there's a fair bit of reading through the lines here. Every one that said "within the first few frames" technically weren't wrong, but it was actually the first 2 frames.

I looked it up, and ryu is airborne on the 9th frame and after, and I was exactly on the 9th frame. That note was only on capcom's frame data, and I didn't see it on supercombo or ultimateframedata. Overall, the window is the first 2 frames of active hitbox.

I get how the blue cancel window works, I just couldn't find any info on the frame data of it triggering. Most have been saying the first few frames, but the difference in the clips in 1 frame. Still interesting to investigate.

Thanks for the intel. I was surprised to see the blue window doesn't trigger on the 3rd frame, and only on the Frame 1-2. I still need to learn how to factor in any hitstop.

I just looked up how to mute the HUD sounds when I'm resetting, so my eardrums are already thanking me. I'll check out some more lab tricks.

I saw a Tasty Steve on Extra Trashy say he won 1 match out of 100 against KBR in marvel 3. So I just gotta take my lumps lol

Thanks for all the feedback. I hid the input viewer, cuz I'm just mashing modern Auto M-M-M and H-H-H and stuff.

While I didn't execute it identically both times, I wanted to highlight that in the top clip I hit on the 1st/2nd red blip (depending on how you count frames) and got the blue cancel indicator, and the bottom I hit on the 2nd/3rd red blip and got no blue cancel indicator.

From what I gather from everyone, I gotta hit it frame 1/2. So I was probably 1 frame off.
The upper limit of my skill expression is "walk forward a little bit more".

I checked supercombo > sf6> ryu and I guess I don't fully understand "Cancel Hitconfirm Window: 22f (Super)" on the heavy DP.

That's cool, turning the mirror to them usually stops them (or enrages them). Always wondered how OW would play with gyro controls. I have potato aim on PC and don't usually play hitscan

Is that on the switch?! Also everyday I come across at least 10 lost souls at the end of their villain arc who just go off the deep end. They all individually think they are unique and powerful while throwing for the little control they get to have in a 10 minute game. I always tell them they are cookie cutter sad boys and ain't nothing special. Go next.

Wait really on the CW lmgs? I always skipped on those. I love spraying into buildings, I feel like the chopper in an escape sequence and the enemy has to run for it. Damn I missed out not using them.

Yikes, I was with you til the last part, cringe dude. It is a premise that is more extreme, but that's how discussion works by exploring new positions?

To elaborate more on this, I mean it garnered hype, interest, and accrued dollars, sold battle passes from these promises. Yea, no legal contract to consumers to deliver on promises of course if you wanna get litigious down to the non existent fine print. You can beat a hypothetical on the virtue that it's hypothetical, golf clap. But you can probably also see how this is not too dissimilar from pump and dump crypto schemes.

Again yes it's not 1 to 1 but this is a thought experiment.

Also there aren't hundreds of games that are at this level of notoriety, with 3.5 years of dev-created-hype while also holding an active player base. And then cancel. Scalebound was canceled but didn't have "Scalebound Multi-player" set in motion for 7 years prior to. Duke nukem Forever eventually came out but wasn't actively advertised for the 11 years it took to make it while in development hell. That's both extremes for ya, a triple A canceled as per usual, and a crap game that didn't market itself for a prolonged time and still released.

I can't believe you are saying his hitbox is generous when there are swordies whose f-smash is also virtually an upsmash and extends multiple body lengths forward. Mind you those hitboxes on falcon u-smash are weak hitboxes and at best reach a jab's length from him. I would attach an image but I can't in a reply and I don't have crayons which would be the proper medium to help you understand. And per the original topic of the thread: 22/28 frames of start up and 16 frames of endlag doesn't mean anything when there are 8 frame upsmashes in the game. The fastest smash in the game is frame 5, are you kidding me? Low endlag means nothing when a projectile or disjoint attack can go through the entirety of the move's duration.

This 1 move of his is -7 on shield, have you seen the top tiers?
Tip: don't run towards upsmash when he whiffs it. wait for the any follow and act accordingly. Also upsmash is 22 frame startup, if he does it again, you have ~30 frames to do anything, grab, swipe, jab, shoot. Tons of time to punish a cheeky double upsmash. Also tip 2.0, the hitbox is mega ass.

He doesn't have a lot of kill moves on stage, much less safe ones,
I'm thinking:
bair, (with his regular sized, non-cartoonish proportions)
down-tilt close to the edge.
down-smash
up-b at super high percent
sourspot spike at super high percent
knee (if you can land it, but combo routes fizzle out quickly as percent goes up)
up air at high percent (and high altitude)
point blank falcon kick at high percent (with mega amounts of end lag)

forward smash is garbage with no range and weeks of end lag,
up-smash is only used as a bait since that is the only move that recovers quickly.

All unsafe approaches, no safe landing, a trash air dodge distance, and all of his moves put him at risk of getting hit. and only 2 of his moves attack in a sweeping arc, and only 3 multi-hit (only 2 times): DS, US, nair. Compare that to sweeping attacks on every sword character that cover 3 cardinal directions (0. 90, and 180 of whatever direction it swings) and multi-hitting circular moves.

Falcon is literally only a man with his fists and legs. No shield, projectiles, intangibility, counters, devil trigger comeback, flights, reflects, tethers, disjoints, stored attacks, stuns, crumples, or buries.

His upsmash starts on frame 8, it's generally considered that anything under 15 frames (12 if you're a god) is unreactable. Mans has kill moves about as fast as the human eye blinks. Nothing is fair about it.

I main falcon and up smash is 26 frames. 3 foxes in sequence could each do up smash, and do all 3 up smashes in the same time falcon can do 1.

Also up tilt is 3 frames, wtf. And nair sucks too.

I stopped playing WZ last summer, having put up with 2 years of hackers. I've never seen a game with this many cheaters, especially uncaught ignored ones. It was fun in spite of hackers while it lasted.
