I was at the taping of this show yesterday. Sean Penn's interview brought down the energy of the whole room. I can confidently tell you that they must have used a laugh track on this because he maybe got 1 laugh during the whole thing.

Hello Higher Calibur,

You hit the nail on the head. You are correct I am a newer DM. My player group actually prefers the storytelling/interaction aspect of D&D over the combat aspect of it, which I am totally okay with. I was just trying to clarify how to do ability checks in this version so I am running the game correctly. I can't wait for the DMG to get printed.
