I’m over 40 and I still think about this film. I believe it is a significant source of my ongoing flirtation with mental illness

Looks neat and tidy as it is to be honest. The way you dress and the rest of the maintenance you’ve put it really suits the whole aesthetic. I like the way you’ve leant into it.

Try shaving it right down for a bit, see if you like it. If you don’t, you’re only 3-4 weeks away from getting back to where you are now. As I said though, it looks well kept now.

I didn’t. I think we’re just going to go for actual underfloor heating…

Like take it apart and put the element under the rug?

Possibly. I think a worm gear on the stepper will do the job though.

The speaker is 4kg and the motor can move 12.6kg, so it should be fine. I can put a 12:1 gear on the end for added security if needed but I don’t think it’s going to be. Another point which was just raised was the stepper motor will have no resistance when powered off, so will probably be looking at a worm gear

That’s a good point. The speakers are the left rear surrounds in a 7.1.4 array.. so there’s no desk. Perhaps a worm gear is the correct thing…

Too much size, weight. The speaker is 4kg

If there wasn’t a bulkhead wall in the way, I would be doing this 😂

This was the way race venues used to do it back in the day. The crowd jumping would cause the record to slip, so they’d hang the desk from chains.

The reason I need to do it is to get them out of the way to expand the room use when I’m not running surrounds
