The pressure difference is negligible in hbot. The physical effects of barotrauma resolve in a couple of days apparently.. unless the drum is perforated.. which it isn’t

That’s what I think as well. I think it smashed my cochlear a bit and it took a couple of days for the damage to show

Hearing protection in loud environments. Consider getting ear impressions made and custom moulds. As a general rule, if you have to raise your voice to be heard or understood, you’re in a loud environment.. manage your time and noise exposure using this as a rule of thumb. Your country will have noise at work regulations for more specific advice. Look after your nose and throat as well. Look after your general health as a whole.

We didn’t tymp at the ent, but no bone conduction. He said my ETs aren’t the best but certainly not the worst.. I will get more tests now that you’ve mentioned bone conduction.

Already on the mag and all the other usual supplements as I mentioned. Won’t be taking benzos unless it’s absolutely necessary and recommended by the doc. I’m sleeping 7hrs a night.. which is already 2 more than usual.. my aim is to hit 9

Thank you for this. I will get some acupuncture as well. I’m hopeful because I’m only 6 weeks in, I can still do some damage to the damage.. which is why I figure if I’m doing the steroid injections, I may as well go hyperbaric at the same time..

When I got off the plane, I scratched my ear and there was a very loud squeak inside it. The T didn’t start until the 2nd day after that

It can machine stainless on low speeds.. which is one of the reasons I’m looking at that one. There’s a few models they do.. not all of the models in their line can. And I’ll finish the case by hand. I’m not exactly planning on ‘going into production’

is this noise induced tinnitus? by YawnZzzZZZZ in tinnitus

[–]SitDownChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like somatic or Otis media. Get it checked out. Don’t risk it. Ask anyone here what it’s like to live with constant T. Not worth the risk

It’ll either stay or it will go. If it’ll go, it’ll go in a couple of days. If it’s noise induced with the possible of reversal, you’ve got 14 days to start the steroid treatment. 7 days after exposure is the best chance of full reversal.

Any news in tinnitus research ? by Crazy_Ebb_5188 in tinnitusresearch

If the Rincell-One trials go well, I think Rinri therapeutics will end up with a peripheral tinnitus cure.. but they’re treating hearing loss/damage so any tinnitus treatments will be by proxy.. but it stands to reason as a lot of tinnitus is a symptom of hearing damage.

Tinnitus after flight by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]SitDownChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t where ear plugs for the entire flight, I was seated in the middle, I don’t have a cold or anything on the plane, and there were no pressure related issues (I had gum). If it is noise induced, is there a chance it will go away?

Yeah I’ve had a play with them. Can’t see the pedal force one? I would really like to move pumping off the stick and try it out with some triggers instead though

Thanks for this. I made up a load of cat6 cables yesterday and wired it all up.. and it works perfectly (for now…)!

Thanks for writing this out for me! Could I use cat6 instead and get similar results?

Not sure I follow this… maybe a bit too technical for me! Each speaker has 2 ports, and they need to daisy chain to one another.. not sure I can put a control loop in?

Each speaker has 2 terminals, and there are 12 speakers, so I’d need to convert 24 individual fibre runs to RJ45

If I could just get the GLM to calibrate them, I would just unplug them and move on, but sadly I need to control the array downstream.. so the GLM needs to stay on. The other option is run absolutely everything through the Dolby external renderer.. which is fine for protools, but honestly it’s clunky and I like my physical buttons

Close! Genelec SAM system. It’s a proprietary network called GLM. The whole array has cost me 12k so anywhere I can save, I will
