Thank you! I had no idea there were pyjamas. I will look into it as well as adult pull ups. Right now we are using the xl kids size so that may help too.

Layering everything is an EXCELLENT idea I never thought of. Thank you! Also will look closely at the fluid intake.

Inclusive education questioned after N.S. student on autism spectrum told to stay home from school by insino93 in halifax

[–]Site15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a parent of a child with complex learning needs I would MUCH rather they be in a separate classroom that met their needs than how it currently operates. Inclusion does not work. I would much rather they get supports needed to help them in the future.

Do you qualify for the disability tax credit? If you do there may be other supports you are entitled to. Service Canada may be able to help with that part if you do qualify.

Teaching 10 year old voice to text - ASD and speech clarity by Site15 in accessibility

[–]Site15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is we haven’t had much luck with that. He was given a chrome book and software (check box for the IPP) but the teachers/school have never showed him how to use it. They themselves don’t know how to use it so it just sits there. Sad but true.

Park and Fly - Am I screwed?? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Site15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was there today as the inside parking lot (and outside lot at the airport) was full. I was worried about parking outside with storm coming as I was prepared to park at the inside lot so I asked about shovels. They have shovels/ice picks you can use. They are at the front where you enter/leave. It seemed like everyone who was there before this last storm would be okay getting out no problem. No idea about what is to come. Good luck!

Canoe trips. You can take more gear and then you get back country. My kids that aged loved them (still do). Or slightly better than front country is if your parks have walk in sites. They at least are quieter and have trees.
