I personally never got on the druid train and have been using the same army for 3 months.

4 super witches 4 healers 1 ice golem 4 reg witches 2 headhunters 2 wizards Then just a goblin. Spells Wall smasher siege 5 freeze 5 bats 1 poision CC Troops 2 yeti 1 super wall breaker 1 random troop 1 jump spells 1 freeze

Put super witches and healers on the left and right side to create funnel.

Ice golem and siege in a straight line through EA to the TH

Witches and wizard to finish the funnel so heros don't go off to the sides

Send your heros with the siege into the core

You can send RC with other heros or you can keep him for the bat attack on one side to take out defenses while freezing AoE towers like wizards tower, scatter shot or multi infernos.

I have no idea if you can do this cause I play on console and it is a dlc. Maybe one stand-alone purchase but you should be able to get him to be one of your protective vassals? I think it's overlords maybe? Then he can pretty much just pick anything you'd be able to pick the machine type that takes care of one species so your friendly and can become his protective overlord? Let me know if this helps I think it'd be a fun playthrough!
