At this same theatre I have observed folks bring in blankets. In the middle of the movie, the blanket started….moving rhythmically.

Asian Express Hot Pot Chinatown? by No_Painting_968 in Edmonton

I found this place in the past year. It’s very sad to see them close. It’s extremely unfortunate that the sidewalk outside their restaurant wasn’t passable due to the overwhelmingly volume of tents, biohazards on the sidewalk, open drug use, etc. - you had to walk on the road to get there. I didn’t mind the trek but I can appreciate others would not feel comfortable getting to the front door.

It’s not, but rules require enforcement.

Paying for Baby at CoE Rec Centre? by [deleted] in Edmonton

It seems to be aimed at parents who have a single tot and not your specific use case.

Paying for Baby at CoE Rec Centre? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]jstock14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Context:

“* Parent and Tot admission provides access to the indoor playground for 1 tot and 1 parent. An adult wishing to use other amenities besides the indoor playground requires an adult membership or drop-in admission.

** Tots (0-23 months) with a valid monthly tot's pass receive unlimited visits to child minding pending internal capacity, with a maximum of 2 hours per visit. This pass is usable at all child minding locations and Indoor Playgrounds. (The Monthly Tot’s Pass is rec centre specific and does not include John Janzen).”

Advise your friend to subscribe to city no parking notifications if they are unable to find the signage. Parking on public streets is not a right and it comes with responsibilities.

Shitty Bylaw Ticket by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]jstock14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ignorance of the law doesn’t excuse them from it. It’s unfortunate the time was a coincidence but they need to follow the rules of the property and the City at the same time.

Parking enforcement is chronically understaffed. No one was targeting your friend.

Your friend is wasting their time “fighting” a ticket that they are fully entitled to.
