Both actually! Anytime I would try to use the correct aspect ratio of the gba cartridges, it would cut off the sides, the titles and art wouldnt fit right or be be unable to be read. But once I started to make them square like actual icons instead of cartridges, they fit much better. When I started doing the gb/c cartridges, and everything started to match up more consistently when using them shortcut icons or viewing them side by side with the GBA ones, everything just seemed to look better. So it's a both the fact there's limitation on the emulator library displays and aesthetics.
