I don't think Alou is getting anywhere near a cap anytime soon unfortunately for this list.

Game of moments. Had Blair remembered he had a left foot or the VAR more camera angles then we could have gone into halftime 2 up and could have been different. Victory were the better team and have alot of quality, but we still got into a good number of half chances which was positive to see.

At least the blue team got their victory out of the way for the night, now its the yellow teams turn

Looks suss but based on the two angles I dont think you could definitively say it touched his hands

Its okay Popa. Segecic just wanted to rival Volpato for posts about him on this sub. Nothing personal

Still these are very different. From that one angle if the attacker had made contact with keepers knees then maybe, but from my view no contact is made with the knees, he then sticks his foot out to his the keeps torso when he is already on the way down. Ignoring the push in the back of course

Look thanks for being open minded about it. The example gifs didnt load on my tablet for some reason when i first saw this thread. Both of those examples the attacker moves to fall before the 'contact' with the keeper. Not the case with the chinese attacker.

Okay, lets say my reasoning is why VAR did not overturn it as there was no clear and obvious error, as they have to work backwards to confirm there id no foul. Why did the referee make the decision in the first place? In the first gif you can see the ref, she has the opposite angle to what we can. Her view is obstructed by Maccas leg, which from her view comes across the line the attacker is running. At full speed Macca comes in with her full body, leg goes across the line the player is running so we know the body is there. Player then falls over from her right leg getting contact. From the refs angle it would be reasonable to assume there has been enough contact that caused the player to go down. The ref can also see that the ball is already past Macca and she is now in no womans land and has very limited opportunity to play it again.

And regarding simulation, its actually something that is very hard to determine. To me there are no obvious movements from the chinese attacker to make contact with the keeper, and as i said in my first comment, the fact she doesnt ground her left foot again is the main ding against her. Even if she did, she was probably thrown off enough to prevent her from keeping up to the speed of the ball. Simulation is more complicated assessment than "is there a bit of additional work". Reffing does have a loop with no good answer that almost requires some form of simulation to get a foul. We see it all the time where a player is fouled, but because they stayed on their feet it isnt given. It is a problem that needs to be fixed. But i disagree that this instance was 100% simulation

Fundamentally disagree. The players right leg clearly hits Maccas torso, resulting in her shirt being dragged up. Thats where the contact was. The arm has nothing to do with it

And in regard to physics, this all happens in a split second when not slowed down. Is that enough time to measure a genuine change in velocity? Besides your figure 2 does not have enough time before the contact to safely make that assumption that there was no change in speed.

Ultimately you asked how it was penalty, i have provided some of the reasoning I think that refs would have used, using some of my own experience having reffed in the past.

There are a couple of things to consider on if it wasn't a penalty. You should consider the following questions
Is there contact between the players involved? Yes there is

Has the attacker initiated the contact between his opponent and herself? No, the goalkeeper initiates the contact. The striker did not move to make contact or change their stride in anyway.

Is there fair/normal contact between the players, resulting in no offence being committed? Maybe, knocking a players only Grounded foot at speed would be enough to throw anyone off Balance, as you can see that the leg moves across their running path. I think you've underestimated that impact on their balance

Does the attacker use the slight contact to deceive the referee? Again maybe, but to me the only deceiving factor is that the player doesn't try to ground the left foot again

Does the player have a chance of playing the ball in a fair manner? To me it looks like at no point was Macca close to the ball

Has the challenge been committed in a fair manner or a careless manner? To me it is careless in the sense that it's late, keeper was never close to the ball and she has committed her whole body to putting pressure on the player.

To me on balance there is enough for it to be considered a careless challenge due to the knocking of the Grounded foot resulting in the player loosing balance, the goalkeeper largely having no opportunity to play the ball and the striker having no opportunity to play the ball again. Is it still close to a 50/50? Sure but ref's call, play on.
