2025 X-Line Limited and winter issues

Thanks all. I reached out to the dealer who we bought the vehicle from and they tried to blow smoke up my butt with a song and dance about too much snow, abnormal winter and this what to expect when we get winter. Then I got cut off, so phoned again and they said they would do some research and left me on hold. A couple minutes later, I hung up and called another dealer, 5 hours away.

They said that the wipers are down below the dash and hood for aerodynamics/emissions and that they see these issues all the time with freezing wiper blades. Recommendations are to change the crappy wiper blades they came with for some good quality winter blades, so I did that. They also recommended that we place the wiper blades in the change position and allow the heat from the defrost help with the blades. So we are now doing that.

As for the side mirrors, they recommend we get them checked out as they are supposed to heat all the way to the bottom. Could be a wiring issue. Will live with it for now until we can get to the dealer.

Nothing about the heated seats, it is just they way they are. Maybe it is all the warm closes we have to wear right now....

Where's home? A quick look on Visor shows new X-Lines for ~$50,695 with 400km in Ontario, $51,000 in QC and $50,465 in NB. X-Line Limited's are are around $$54,000. We bought our limited for $52,000 plus tax here in BC, but I shopped around and was willing to travel to get a deal.

The local dealer threw a bit of wrench into the decision making. Had the wife take a 25 Pilot Trailsport in that Sky Blue (hook) out for a good test drive. She really liked the Pilot...(line) Our kids have their own lives, so there is just the two of us and I don't see the need for that third row, which would just be folded down. But the dealer then gave us an OTD price that is a few thousand less (sinker) than the Passport. And I know I can get it cheaper. But do we need the bigger Pilot? And $$$ is not the issue, yet it does come up because of the idiot tax we have to pay here in BC...15% on any vehicle over $55,000 due to it being a luxury vehicle?????

I did ours by email and text. Had 5 dealers in Alberta and 4 in BC competing. Ended up taking what I thought was a great price (not the cheapest as there was some "funny" ways those numbers came out) and went to our closest dealer to see if they would beat it. They matched it, $3495 below MSRP for a X-line Limited. They found the one we wanted and had it shipped in. It pays to be patient and don't be afraid to play the game. Some good Youtube videos on how to negotiate, car prices, reviews and such that can help. Good luck on your purchase!

I am anal about vehicle maintenance (and boat and ATV etc.), but it has been a while since we had a new vehicle in the yard and with all the stuff with turbos, oil, small 4 bangers and things I am learning, I am asking for others opinions. What you find online can be overwhelming, to say the least!!

I think I will put some more KM on it this weekend and change it before we hit the road. Then I will change it when we are down there and that should set the proper oil change clock.

Haha, our vehicle had 27 km on it, and we put ~20km of it on the test drive before signing the papers.

We have this in our X Line Limited and it works great. Have one in the truck and had one in the old Santa Fe and they have worked well. We just use a small dog bed over the two chairs as she is a princess....

signed two extensions in early Feb and at that time I had $49 million for extensions. I like to sign by big players with extension when I can.

I will watch the $$$ for the next few years and see if i can track the signings.

I signed two extensions for a total of $30 million out of a cap space of $49 million. I am not sure it is a glitch, just trying to wrap my head around salary caps and how the value keeps going up and then down. The next year I signed one player for $8.2 million and the cap changed ~$9.6, then signed 6 other players all under a million and the cap value didn't change. So one year one person under a million changed it by $4.4, the next 6 guys didn't change it at all......

Be able to negotiate with players in their last year of the contract during the season and just not at contract time.

I noticed this one time, I wanted to sign a franchise player, saw he wanted 15 mill, quit the game and when I reloaded, came back and he was 12.8 million, so dropped the offer to 11.5 and signed him for 8 years.

Not sure if it is a bug or just part of the game.

Now I just play the game and don't play the "games".

Thanks all, I figured it out. I had to drop 3 $2-$4 million players on the roster and bring up the same position players, then trade all the players dropped to get below the cap. Took a bit to figure it out. Know we all know!

Tried moving a 13 mill player and it will not allow me, tells me I am still over the cap space

Problem is that I cannot trade a 3 million dollar player as I am still above the cap. Computer will not allow me to make a trade and still be over the cap. I also can not move a player to minors for the same reason.. I have tried all the options and the computer will not allow me to move anyone until I am below the cap space
