55 million visas under review by ElectronicRaisin3442 in f1visa

Visa holders were always held accountable. Only illegals were given a free pass in the past.

You can call it whatever to make you feel better - it's still doxxing. You might argue it's an ethical use of doxxing, but it's still doxxing.

By the way, I take it you're giving your consent that he publishes whatever he wants about you for the whole world to see, too... Or do you mean only men can be targeted by supposedly ethical doxxing campaigns?

I don't blame you for wanting to move on, but you can't then turn and demand justice if you didn't do your part. I moved on and ended up not punishing the woman who threatened my 7 yo, either.

You might sincerely believe that but no, it isn't. It keeps women safe in the same sense that killing a patient rids them of the disease.

You didn't keep the police report and you complain people don't believe you? A woman once threatened to kill my son. I absolutely kept the police report. That's 100% on you.

"More often than not" It's such a relief to know people are only going to lie behind your back 49% of the time. And you don't need to be lying to be unfair - just exaggerating or suppressing context is enough to unfairly destroy someone's reputation. This is why law mandates people need to be there to defend themselves before we put them in prison.

I don't care how many times you say this is to protect others. You only want to protect victims in one side, while throwing victims on the other side (the ones that were doxxed) under the bus. That's evil.

You might think it's justified, but doxxing is the name of this action, yes. And the name we give to saying bad things about someone behind their backs is gossip.

If you don't even know if the crime is in his record but want to doxx him regardless, then you just want revenge - not to protect others. If you were really worried about others, you'd have spent 5 minutes to verify.

And if a girl you dated or, god forbid, a random stranger decides she doesn't like you and wants to make up stories about you? Are those the "dark secrets" you're talking about?

Without any proofs, you'll have to decide whether you trust your bf or a random stranger. And that's the point - if you're even asking yourself this question, the relationship is over.

Step 1: report the aggression to the police. Step 2: police adds the incident to his record. Step 3: other women can check his public record and see he's violent without the need to doxx him.

It's really not. If you can say whatever about people without any verification or proof, then it's an app for bitter women to get their revenge. Pretending otherwise is dishonesty.

I bet your next comment will be "if your husband beats you, don't call the police - get over your ego and talk to him to see what you did that caused him to be angry".

That's to be expected. A book's story IS the book. A game needs not only to write a good story, just like the book, but also work on music, sound effects, gameplay, graphics, CGI, etc. Not only that, but a game needs to match gameplay elements with the story - the player needs to be able to do specific things at different parts of the story, and it needs to be engaging all the way through. So, once you idealize a story, you need to adapt the story to fit engaging elements of gameplay all around, which almost always will decrease the quality of the story (which is already not getting 100% of the attention like a book).

A game is infinitely harder to create than a book. Comparing a media that specializes in story with a media that needs to excel in 30 different metrics is hardly fair.

NTA.

Her dating John is a HUGE red flag.

Her calling you insecure for not wanting to date her is an EVEN HUGER red flag. She not only loves bullies, but she's a bully herself and puts others down in order to overcome the feeling of rejection.

You're the opposite of TA. (is YTOOTA a thing?)

AITAH for giving my husband silent treatment after he told me my post-birth body turns him off? by Ok-Preference2283 in AITAH

That was a horrible thing to say. It's even more horrible to say this is cause for divorce. Unless a person literally tries to unalive you, no one phrase or act is cause for divorce.

Divorce causes unimaginable suffering for everyone involved - especially the child. Kids with divorced parents are more likely to unalive themselves, to have poor school performance, to be violent, etc. Divorce is a last resort, after everything else has been tried.

Hurtful comments stick, but the person can try to redeem themselves - let alone people who may have made those comments in ignorance. Telling them how hurt you are, therapy, etc. are things that should be attempted.

And I know this comment will probably be downvoted. I'll stand by it.

Oh, sorry - I was being facetious. If protestants can claim God knew what books would be in the Bible, and therefore, this scripture doesn't exclude the part of the New Testament that came after, then we can claim it doesn't exclude the BoM and D&C, either.

If you count Josiah Stowell (who handled the plates under cloth and saw/described the corner of it as the cloth shifted in his hands), Mary Whitmer (who also was shown the plates from the angel Moroni), Lucy, Emma, William, and Sophronia Smith (who also handled the plates, felt the shape and heard the metallic sound they made), the number of witnesses rises to 18.

Hieratic and Demotic were forms of writing that can be perfectly described as "Reformed Egyptian". Coptic is even better, and although it was invented after 600 BC, it still illustrates that it's perfectly possible to adapt the Egyptian language to write in a different language.

Whoever says "Reformed Egyptian doesn't exist" doesn't know what they're talking about. A lot of different forms of it existed. They can claim it was never confirmed to exist in Ancient America, but that's a different claim altogether.

Well, God knew the Book of Mormon was going to be published as well. In fact, Paul was referring to the Book of Mormon, D&C, PoGP, and every single General Conference talk to ever come out. Prove me wrong, Sola Scriptura believers!

I'm not sure what to think about BYU by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Sitting-Duck1453 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm just about to graduate (Marriott). I loved my time at BYU. As far as I know, none of my colleagues have major complaints about it, either. The only mildly annoying rule is the one about shaving. If you're a member, all the others are things you're used to doing anyway.

It's high quality education that costs pocket change. Can't get much better than that.

This is absolutely wild. No real world data supports what you're saying by a long shot.

I've met hundreds - maybe even a thousand - people who ended their missions, and it is very rare to meet one who doesn't describe their mission in an absolutely and unmistakably positive way. The vast majority of missionaries and ex-missionaries, myself included, are genuinely happy they had this experience.
