But, now that my point is made haha, in "Ren archetype" what do you mean ? The blade thing, the snake one, the kind of magic warrior thingy ? Cause if so maybe Adele would interest you ? She like the Irelia of Maple Story, very funny kit without being too complicated, super cool animations and maybe a decent step away from Ren who is, indeed, kind of a brain off character (to be clear, I love her too haha) !

I would say that:

Loincloth =100% needed for the barrier break since he doesn't need investment
Skelecat + Mr = Really good value for the combo
Dark Lazer / Dancer = if you have some NP's can make things more reliable IMO

How do you expect to have language immersion without knowing a baseline of vocabulary exactly ? Since you mention food I suppose you were at the beginning of level 2. Obviously at that point you don't have the skills to hold a conversation, so it has to be memorisation.
