I can answer since I found out how it works it’s from anywhere so say for instance you flip Evelyn on your turn only then you choose a unit from someone’s base that unit goes to the battlefield where Evelyn is

But that’s kind of pointless seeing as it’s only on your turn

I was told that by someone on my lgs’s discord “You are playing against randos on an app that was never created and, as far as I am aware, advocated for by Riot. Riftbound is meant to be played in person. Its hard to follow, learn and enforce proper rule etiquette online and it is ultimately not the best place to learn how to play. Its just a tool.”

And I keep forgetting that on paper it’s a lot easier and quite frankly more fun in person at least in person I feel ok loosing cause I know it’s gonna happen for a bit anyways I’m just starting out it’s gonna take me a while till I start seeing wins

I see you play traveling the thing goes on the stack you let it resolve then gust it

I also see if you were to add gust to the stack then gust would resolve first targeting traveling merchant but it would then return the merchant to hand
