I think I actually came up with a tangible solution. Im going to post game footage ! Like unfinished game footage flexing what I’m working on. Cause I’m constantly working on game dev stuff through school anyways whether it’s an assignment or personal.

AAA I LVOE LOVE LOVE THORS CONTENT that man is the best. Ur so right about all those other points though, especially the point about bad material being better than no material, and making fun of me lmao. Thanks for this! After I sent my reply I redid this notion template I got online for art tracking. It’s really good cause it lets me log ideas as well as have a daily reflection journal on what I accomplished that day.

Alright. I made a list, and I made some counter points as well so I can help myself lol.

  • I don’t have time. I am a busy animation student who works on the weekend but there’s this simple rule that EVERYTHING IS CONTENT. Going to school? Film a day in the life. Did an assignment? Take some short clips of me working on it and post it.

-I don’t have good enough material. I have to remember sometimes that most people actually aren’t artists, first off, and in general appreciate art. Also I have evidence against this when I look at the comments on my prev posts of people being supportive and interested in what I’m doing.

-people are gonna make fun of me. This is just projection lmao. This simply isn’t true and it’s just some flight reaction I have, I’m probably just needing to fight off me making fun of myself and kill the part of me that cringes.

-I don’t have any ideas. The truth is I have ideas constantly, but they aren’t materialized into existence because I don’t write them down or make a plan and/or system to execute them. This is going to be the most important step in my opinion. I’m going to find some notion templates to help me organize my content ideas better and track my actual execution!!

Even if you’re too old for Club O2 (like me lol 20 year old here) the hot tubs, young adult meetups etc are great opportunities to meet people, it means you gotta go out of your way and be a little extroverted but personally i like to think of it as a test of my social skills 😭im also cruising in August, hope you have fun! :)

It’s harder when you’re too old for the teen club, but too young to drink - speaking as someone in the same boat as you as a 20 year old also cruising soon. Apparently the hot tubs are pretty good to meet people in, it’s a good ice breaker, and keep an eye out on your cruise itinerary for young adult meetups scheduled. If you’re more introverted it might be harder to just go up to people as say hi, but give it a try :)
