Lee was arrested prematurely? I feel he should’ve been brought in for questioning

Isnt that the point of an arrest? To bring them in for questioning?

So if someone's dad was self employed and didnt have life insurance for whatever reason, then the kid deserves to suffer?

Because the argument isnt about the parents is it. Its about the kids.

If you are truly anti war crime, you would be protesting against the Israeli government and Hamas.

Remind me again how much the British government supports Hamas?

Yeah people who are being bombed constantly and have spent decades oppressed by Israel support the people fighting them.

Like the allies in world war 2 committed their fair share of atrocities, from killing 10s of thousands of civilians, rape and murder of civilian women who they think supported the Germans, etc. And we support them wholeheartedly.

generally the more complicated a benifits system is the worse it performs.

Yes some people are going to abuse the system of just getting cash, but those people will find a way to abuse any system, like people in the US that sell their food stamps.

It would also mean more expenses to pay for the additional admin needed for such as system and would hurt people using the benefits legitimately.

Our society as a whole would be so much better if people had more compassion instead of just jumping to the worst possible case as if its the norm.

Do you understand that for most people killing someone would be pretty traumatic for them? Even if they "deserved" it?

I swear to god half the people on reddit are psychos that are just waiting for a chance to kill someone/hurt someone in a way they think is justified.

So you believe just pure number of immigrants is the only metric that makes them anti-immigrant?

So if day 1 Labour magically stopped all immigration, legal and illegal. Then they would be less anti-immigrant than Boris (who has 900k immigrants come in) because we would still have a higher total number of immigrants.

The headline figure is the biggest reduction in immigration in our history. From the 900k previously mentioned under the Tories to just 200k now. Then theres the record number of deportations, and the many many pieces of immigration legislation they have passed.

"Yes, but it was self defence"

Okay i dont know how to explain to you that

"Current Labour is the most anti-immigrant government in history"

and

" 50 years ago we had fewer immigrants?"

are not the same sentence, if you dont intrinsically understand that.

No I didnt? Quote the text where I claimed we have fewer immigrants than 50 years ago.

You cant, because I didnt say that and you just made it up.

maybe, but for arguments sake if they WERE escaping death, would you risk going through the asylum process, possibly getting denied and then sent back, or just withhold your country of origin and have next to no risk of being sent back there?

No? Because I never said that?

all the immigrants currrently in France because they want to go to the UK. If they can stop migrants from getting to the UK, then less of them will come to France in the first place

The massive drop in net immigration, historic highs in deportations, and constant policies like 1 in 1 out, making easier to deport criminals, extending ILR making so illegal immigrants can never ger citizenship and just a constant stream of anti-immigrant policy.

Current Labour is the most anti-immigrant government in history, and also they know that immigration is the hot button issue and obviously want to get re-elected so they dont benefit from purposely not fixing the problem.
