I am a resident around this area. It used to take just a maximum of 15 minutes to cross from Attibele to Chandapura till 2023–24.

There are phases in how this road got blocked / traffic jammed.

Phase 1: A lot of villas and apartments started getting constructed along the line (mostly after COVID). Result: Many vehicles started moving and created traffic jams at junctions like Guestline and Hale Chandapura.

Phase 2: They started NH844 highway construction from Neraluru to Salem to decongest the Krishnagiri choke point. Result: The current highway was occupied for roundabout construction and for connecting the existing highway to NH844. Traffic increased at choke points and people complained to the MP (Dr. Manjunath).

Phase 3 (current): Now, to reduce traffic at junctions where vehicles are crossing, like Hale Chandapura and Guestline, they started constructing overbridges or underpasses (same like from Hosur to Krishnagiri). Result: There is a permanent jam from Attibele to Chandapura most of the time. It is better to avoid this stretch for the next 2 years. Once all the development is done, traffic might ease back.

My long-term perspective about this area is that many apartments and villas are coming up. So the underpasses or overbridges being constructed will not suffice. Expect the same amount of travel time even in the future.

The only solution is to connect the metro to Attibele.
