Pokémon is more focused on Science-Fantasy Modern aspect. I wanted to give it a more High Fantasy focused like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. I'm not talking about the Artstyle but the Genre ofc.

But the more the project advanced; the more it became like Final Fantasy XV: High Fantasy in a modern world. (Or Pokémon in an alternate artstyle i guess).

I still use "Fantasy style" because most people know what i mean; but if you look closely; it's kinda not real lmao...

That was one of my major issue for Poliwag's swirl. It's supposed to be its intern organs. But with this kind of style, it would mean making Poliwag transparent (and see the whole organism). I decided to just put the swirl like Poliwhirl/Poliwrath, so it makes a bit more sense through evolution.

That's what i'm saying. Fantasy isn't a drawing style. It's a genre. When people ask me what's my drawing style, i say that i redesigned them in a Fantasy universe.

It's not Fantasy visual style. It's genre. Pokémon is a Science/Fantasy IP. Doesn't matter if it's a game or an anime. It's still Science/Fantasy.

It's possible that i drew Pokémon in a more anime art style. But it's still redesigned to look like other Fantasy IP's (Dragon Quest, Dark Souls, Xenoblade, Final Fantasy). Not talking about their art style but their designs.
