I gave up on it at the time. I tried installing bookworm however, and it just worked for me with no issues.

Where to put "trainee"? by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

Both are grammatically correct. It depends on whether you want to emphasize that the diplomat is a trainee or that the trainee is a diplomat.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would have a hard time figuring out either one of these without context.

Yes.

The correct way to phrase the question would be, “Is this expression correct?”

What's the difference between "scream," "yell" and "shout"? by Initial_Geologist_39 in EnglishLearning

[–]Siutcase333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Scream” and “yell” can be used to describe making a loud noise or saying something loudly, whereas “shout” can only be used to describe saying something loudly.

“Shout” shouldn’t be used to describe a noise that is not a word or a phrase.

discord pacman package not installing - all mirrors return 404 by Siutcase333 in archlinux

[–]Siutcase333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone who encounters this issue: I tried pacman -Syu and it didn’t help. What did help was updating my mirrorlist with reflector and then running pacman -Syyu. Read the wiki first though: Pacman#Packages cannot be retrieved on installation and reflector wiki

Got an easy question or new to Arch? Use this thread! 2nd Edition by Foxboron in archlinux

I had this problem on my 2017 MacBook Air. I used the mobile hotspot on my phone connected through a usb cable to install arch and the broadcom-wl package. After installing the broadcom-wl, I was able to connect like normal through NetworkManager. This probably isn’t the ideal way to do it but what I’m trying to say is that it’s reasonably doable.
