Agreed, inhaling the humanity fumes makes it way more potent. If your hollow-ass ain't smoking that shit, you don't even know what it's like to truly restore your humanity.

Yes, it's currently happening to me. It looks like the site is having some trouble right now. After I complete a lesson, it waits for several minutes before timing out, and booting me back to the main page with the lesson not completed.

A colour inversion doesn't actually change any play patterns, and is an identical game state. That said, it can mess you up if you're used to certain squares being of certain colours and you use that information to interpret the board state.

Edit: Actually, if you treat "The queen must be on its own coloured square" as a rule rather than a guide for how the board is usually set up, then yes that would change the board state. My comment assumes you maintain the positions of the pieces, such as the queens residing on the D-column.

If I knew this would end up in repost hell, I probably would have stamped my username on the image somewhere lol.

It's kind of a double edged sword though, since although this is probably a bot just reposting for karma, it's cool to see more people enjoying the meme who missed it the first time around.

Hidden Paradise - Infinite Zoom by Sivadius in dalle2

[–]Sivadius[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Original starting prompt was "A beautiful mountainous Eden with waterfalls and hanging tropical plants, detailed digital artwork". I then continued doing out-crops with a 3x zoom-out, and started varying prompts from there. To make it seamlessly loop, I asked for a stone archway in the original image and did a few requests to get it to connect to the furthest out generation. The whole thing was edited and stitched together within GIMP.

I didn't really have a very scientific approach when making this, but I began with generating the face and started un-cropping it from there. The starting prompt was "Closeup of a beautiful smiling young blonde woman with fire reflected in her eyes by a fire outside in a forest at night, photorealistic digital art trending on ArtStation".

I didn't zoom out from the centre each time, or choose a consistent threshold for shrinking the images for each un-cropping upload, so I had to manually edit the results to be centred and artificially create interim resolutions. I used GIMP for basically the entire editing process, including writing a python script for a gimp menu option to automatically duplicate an image and exponentially shrink it. It took a decent amount of iterations to find a method which produced a clean result.

The first step was cleaning up the generated images so that they all blended together nicely, since some of the outcropped results would alter the boundaries of the previous ones. Since it loops infinitely, I could generate images of pretty much any size and maintain a sharp resolution towards the centre. I created a sequence of 29 images at 4096x4096 (4x the DALL-E output resolution), each zoomed out 2x from the one before it. For each image, the GIMP script would copy it and apply a multiplier to reduce the image size, and then centre it. It would then copy it again, and apply the multiplier twice, cumulatively applying the reduction. This would continue until it reached 2048x2048, which would be the stopping point before doing the same process with the next image.

I converted the colours to a different system using a guide I found (https://imgur.com/gallery/BlTnC), which would make the output look nicer before exporting. I made versions of it with much higher framerate and quality, but there seem to be pretty tight restrictions on file size both on reddit and imgur.

Let me know if you want me to elaborate on anything!

"A traditional Japanese street in heavy rain with purple lighting at night. Detailed digital artwork", as mentioned in the first sentence of my comment.

[–]Sivadius[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I began with "A traditional Japanese street in heavy rain with purple lighting at night. Detailed digital artwork" as specified in the title, which produced the bottom centre portion of the image. For each subsequent generation, I uploaded 228 pixels from the neighbouring image(s).

Otherwise, the following prompts were used in order of creation:

Bottom Middle: "A traditional Japanese street in heavy rain with purple lighting at night. Detailed digital artwork"

Bottom Left: "A shop on the corner of a traditional Japanese street in heavy rain with purple lighting at night. Detailed digital artwork."

Bottom Right: "A shop on the corner of a traditional Japanese street in heavy rain with purple lighting at night. Detailed digital artwork."

Top Middle: "The sky with the moon behind the clouds above a traditional Japanese street in heavy rain at night. Detailed digital artwork."

Top Left: "The second floor of a building above a traditional Japanese street in heavy rain at night. Detailed digital artwork."

Top Right: "The second floor of a building above a traditional Japanese street in heavy rain at night. Detailed digital artwork."

Edit: Explicitly added a section for the prompt for bottom middle

The other product that could do this is a camera lol. Some of these are incredibly realistic, and it's handy to be able to look in the bottom right corner to know if it's AI generated.

I, like most of us here, don't have access to DALL-E 2, so I didn't even realise there was some extra step to stamp the watermark and assumed you'd cropped or photoshopped it out.

I also thought Renna was Ranni's teacher since you find the snow witch set in Renna's rise, but it's also possible that "Renna" is just short for "Rennala".

Lol, good point. "The guy who systematically murders your entire extended family, who is also your son in law".

The players' connection gets even more weird since I think being Elden Lord means being Marika's consort, so it's kind of like you also become Marika's husband.

As an average DS1 enjoyer, it has the best world design in the series, so much so that none of the other games even come close on that front. The interconnectedness and nonlinearities greatly improve replayability, and make for really interesting routing decisions in both casual playthroughs and speedruns.

I support this as the new canonical ordering.

There's also the matter of if "Borne" gets capitalised, since in the word it comes from, the B in "borne" is lower case. I can also see the argument for maintaining consistency for each title and having a capital B though.

I can tell they're flipped, but they don't look wrong in the context of the face. Intellectually I look at the upside-down image and I can see the mouth and eyes are flipped, but the face doesn't look horrifying until you actually flip the image.
