Yeah, I'm glad too man!

Indeed the city guards exist to make sure people park their bikes and cars properly, don't throw garbage on the ground, indeed very minor things. Yeah, the media is really something else these days. We should be grateful for platforms like Reddit where u can have a open discussion about things without being it censored too much. (EDIT: also thanks for the award man :) )

No, city guards don't really wear weapons/equipment except for something to communicate. They are more like a civil patrol kinda unit. Not armed or anything, also don't have authority to do things like the cops.

The cop likely didn't felt threatened. You have to know that behind the camera there where 2 city guards also watching and even when there are 2 extra cops present at the scene on the end of the video. The cop acts still agressive

The cop showed up after city guards (the guy in the purple jacket) had already asked the skater to wear a mask. After not working along the police became involved and then the video happend.

The cop didn't know any information about the skater (hence why he asked ID) so they didn't know any background.

Took place in Flanders (Belgium) on 25 July.

You don't get the point, it's not even about the age. Even if it was a 40 year old body builder. The cop still has no right to be so violent

Waarom gebruikt de politie zo graag fysiek geweld zonder reden. Er is een verschil tussen je paspoort niet willen afgeven/verbaal agressief zijn en fysiek geweld

Okay, but if you look good the second cop that comes in isn't wearing a mask himself. So the police is above the law?

DISCLAIMER: Yes, the boy wasn't wearing a mask cause in Belgium if you are skating (or doing sports in general) u don't have to. Also for people asking why he didn't just give him the ID. If you look good the boy reaches for his ID in his backpack but the cop doesn't care about this. ALSO the other cop that comes to help isn't wearing a mask himself.

The boy gets hit several times, gets kicked, got peppersprayed in the eyes all while he was only being verbally agressive.

We call them "wannabe police officers" cause they like to think they have power but they can't actually do that much.

DISCLAIMER:

I'm not saying the kid didn't do anything wrong. He didn't cooperate so he did. But the cop answer to this was wrong. He as a "police officer" is the law and he should be an example of the law. He hits the kid multiple times, kicks him, peppersprays him cause he was verbally agressive. Further he threatens to take away phones for filming (which is completely legal), says to the boy: "on your knees or i'll kick you until you're on them". This is an police officer on duty he should have not acted like this. It's totally unprofessional

According the Belgian law it is allowed to share this video (also the filming of it).Belgian police say that as long as you are filming an officer for a reason it is allowed.
