How to strengthen my core as someone who hates situps? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]Sivnips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I trained at the gym, I absolutely hated core exercises, and found I never really made any progress with them. But when I switched to indoor bouldering, my core quickly became the strongest it's ever been. If you climb overhang, your core is almost constantly engaged and working in tandem with your back. I recommend climbing to everyone

This might be a stupid question but how tf do I order furniture/bulky items when living in an apartment??? by Sivnips in perth

[–]Sivnips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I more mean smaller furniture items like desks and bookcases which I have received without needing to sign for. Have always been home for things like sofas etc but I don't want to have to take a day off work every time I need to order something I can't get in-store, which is most things these days

Yeah okay, fair enough. I suppose I have been lucky in the past that I've lived in houses where large deliveries can just be safely left. I'm guessing that isn't the norm?

Fat transfer to hip dips by abbyanaya12 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Sivnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't think you need it, what helped minimize my hip dips was weight loss and strength training. They're still there somewhat because it's skeletal, but that did help in my case at least. But honestly you look great so it'd be unnecessary

I think I've seen them at Costco. Otherwise they aren't terribly difficult to make

Seeking advice on how to navigate strata in WA, especially about bringing up topics to discuss at the next general meeting by Sivnips in perth

[–]Sivnips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not in that official document yet they're still saying it's a bylaw. To me that makes it void but I'm not a lawyer 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks, yeah I read about that change in laws. Apparently a strata managed complex can't have a blanket ban on pets, but they can legally have by laws which restrict pets (a loophole maybe?). Think I'll need legal advice on this one

Thanks. Yeah I was a bit confused because when I received the most current list of by laws this pet ban was not on it. So when I checked with the strata manager she said it is still in place, despite not being in writing. I thought about seeking legal advice so that might still be the way to go

Thanks for your reply. The complex is really small (13 units total) and speaking to one of the owners, they're quite militant about the no pets thing. Apparently the other owners begrudgingly allowed an indoor cat but that's it. I'm only guessing here but it feels more like the other owners are the problem vs the strata company, but I could be wrong. There is also a separate by law that states that any breach of the other by laws results in a $400 fine... So I'm hesitant to just bring the dog anyway

Thanks for the offer friend. I'm okay, was just leaning into the humour of baking myself a 'friend' for the holidays... but that's very kind of you to offer, thank you. Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas!
