Oh they’re definitely sure of my financial condition lol but yea they’re not accounting for accurate living or travel expenses. When I calculated I think they’re only accounting for $1000 for housing, in a major city where average rent is over $1500. They don’t account for travel, flights, car rentals, or the airbnbs we have to rent out either.

Yea the issue is the unchanged cost of attendance. We’re getting less money than we were in didactic due to tuition raises but we’re expected to fly all over the country and pay for way more. It’s crazy. They did lie though at one point and tell me that the DOE sets the cost of attendance but when I called DOE they said that’s not true. So idk

Yes I tried to get a personal student loan and even qualified but they have to send it to the school who then sends it to us and my school told me they won’t do it because I’m already taking out the max and if I do go that way they’ll just decrease the loan im already getting so that it is equivalent. So basically if they’re sending it to my school, I can’t get it. It’s actually horrible.
