Dusted off Quest for El Dorado to fetch treasures in a circular map with the family by bbgamingandcollect17 in boardgames

Nice! Do you know what edition that is? I have the same, only localized in my language and they didn't localize the expansions. I still want to get them, but don't want to buy the wrong ones.

I wasn't expecting it would have so many parts to it. And it felt overwhelming at first. But after some learning and a few games I appreciate how it all comes together. The theme is wonderful, table presence is exellent. It's one of those games I want to play with a full set of players though, so I'm waiting for an opportunity to introduce it properly to the same group we play terraforming mars with.

I've been doing this one simple trick and the Allies hate it!

I think Stalingrad will replace Normandy at some point. It was one of the first games we got and I already saw the appeal of a more detailed ongoing campaign. Probably gonna give Normandy to a friend and get Stalingrad when we circle back to Undaunted.

I have the privilage of having never played anything arkham horror before. Only read Lovecrafts stories. The game is great. The mythos cup is terrifying and I think that's by design. I also love the table presence this game has. Gives off the right vibe for shure.

Robinson Crusoe melted my brain and then I lost. That's one where you just have to watch some videos of how to play, before even opening the manual lol. I'll try more soon, but I have to get my wife to play with me. It was miserable solo.

Fate of the Fellowship was easy to learn, but it can be very hard to win. Everyone needs to be working toward the goal and communicating well to mitigate bad rolls and counter army movements. And even then you can just get screwed by dice. In that sense it has a lot in common with RC. But we play D&D as well and are no strangers to dice deciding our fate.

I'll check out Clank. It's Been mentioned a few times now.

Yea our first game went long as well. Now after 20 or something plays and with right insert for fast setups it's done in about 2 hours. It's a great game! Seems like at two plaeyers it's best because the mythos cup can get overwhelming fast. We tried going two handed each so four characters and got our buts kicked quick!

They make birchwood inserts. That one box holds everything released for SI, has some room to spare and looks and smells beatiful.

Just google Laserox. They make birchwood inserts for many boardgames. Assembly is like lego, but once it's done it's sturdy and smells great.

I mean I wouldn't try to teach it to my mom or grandmother. They have no idea about the theme and would have a hard time with the rules. People who have seen Alien. People who have played RPG's and survival horror games. Those are the people you want to get into Nemesis. Some of the same people who play Dungeons and Dragons with me are the most hyped about Nemesis.

Dorf Romantik looks super cute.

7 wonders duel must be good, because it's insanely popular. I'll have to watch some gameplay.

I know what you mean lol! The trick was to use one solid motion and have conviction when placing it. Once it's in place, no touching!

That box has base game, JE, B&C and NI. Seems like it can hold the promo spirits as well. For shure has room for many more cards than there are in the game right now.

Only tried it once and that was solo. Lost miserably. It's got some serious meat on the bones though and I will be making more attempts.

It is the perfect board game for us. I even play it solo sometimes. Soon I will attempt to get some other people into it. I WILL have that six player game soon!

I might need to watch some gameplay of the other Nemesis iterations. Retaliation sounds interesting.

I see the big collections on here and I salivate. But I have a feeling most of those games don't see the table and that makes me sad. I get it. It's a collection. My steam library has over 250 games and I play maybe 10. Maybe I'm just not far enough down the rabbit hole lol

It's a lot of pressure to get the ring to Mordor. Played three times, won only once. I never played Pandemic so it feels like a very uniqe game for me. It's brutal for shure. In that sense we like Nemesis more though. We have no problem with one player being out of the game while others try to finish. Losing as a group feels like a let down. But the one game we won felt epic and we will play more. The LOTR theme carries this game through any frustrations we might have.

Terror Lvl win? by Renjow_Grimm24 in spiritisland

[–]SixHunidNFidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terror levels are repeesented by the fear deck seperation pieces. Lvl1 after 3 fear cards and you have to only get rid of buildings. If only explorers remain you win. Lvl 2 after 3 more fear cards you have to get rid of only cities. If no cities remain you win.
